Those stats are interesting. Almost seems like we were a target or something... just like India got hit earlier this year with a "wave" of the virus.
We are farther away than many of those other countries who took less of a hit from a virus that supposedly started from a local wet market. How is it that we took the biggest hit?
Anyone remember these videos floating around social media from China last year?
Disturbing new video shows dead bodies piling up in the hallways of a hospital in China, as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spiral out of control.
The images from inside Red Cross Hospital in Wuhan, the city at the epicenter of the deadly viral outbreak, show covered bodies lining corridors as staffers and patients walk about with masks on their faces.
The video, which has been widely shared on social media, was verified by Storyful on Friday.
Officials in Wuhan are scrambling to build a 1,000-bed hospital to address the burgeoning need for treatment of patients sickened by the coronavirus — which has killed at least 26 people and infected hundreds of others.
Now only 4600+ people died in China... really? Sounds like social media mind tricks from our friends across the pond.
Many countries in Europe did substantially worse than the U.S. with deaths per capita. I don't trust the Chinese numbers and the Indian numbers are well undercounted (only deaths directly from Covid in hospitals are counted. Most home deaths aren't). U.S. deaths are way overinflated as anyone who tests positive for Covid at time of death is counted as a Covid death even if they actually died of cancer, heart disease (which can partly contribute) or even of a car accident, falling out off a cliff, or got murdered (which literally had nothing to do with their Covid).
90 percent of the countries in the world have a very small fraction of the per capita Covid death total as the US. Including virtually all of the most populated countries in the world as highlighted below.
Yet our media is dominated by misinformation that all these other countries are lying and we are honest (or, to be precise, we will be fully honest once we admit that our underestimated Covid death total is already well over 1 million )
As of today:
China = 4636 deaths out of 1400 million population.
Pakistan = 20930 deaths out of 220 million population.
Nigeria = 2099 deaths out of 205 million population.
Bangladesh = 12660 deaths out of 165 million population.
Japan = 13107 deaths out of 126 million population.
Ethiopia = 4171 deaths out of 115 million population.
Philippines = 21102 deaths out of 110 million population.
Egypt = 15136 deaths out of 104 million population.
Vietnam = 48 deaths out of 97 million population.
Congo = 782 deaths out of 90 million population.
Thailand = 1069 deaths out of 70 million population.
South Korea = 1965 deaths out of 52 million population.
USA = 595,000 deaths out of 330 million population.
It's less than 0.05% of our total population. Most of those countries have totalitarian governments and the 1 party government are the media. They can make 50k people disappear and nobody will know unlike the U.S.
Unless those countries found the cure before the vaccine (they didn't) they are lying. China has 4 times our population and people living on top of each other because the country is very over-populated and very poor citizens and their food habits are bad but less people died than the U.S., HOW? We need more than "they run their healthcare better" because nobody believes that.
Most of those places don't have clean drinking water, proper food, proper medicine for the basics but someone they managed a world wide Pandemic worst since the Spanish Flu based on what? their DNA?
The US incentivized hospitals and states to report as many Covid numbers as possible. Since many people are corrupt, why not pad the numbers? Some of them even inflated numbers based on suspected cases that were never tested.
Other countries aren’t padding Covid numbers because their government didn’t incentivize them to do so.
What if the US had incentivized states that prevented Covid? Gave them money for keeping a lid on the whole thing? I’ll bet you our Covid numbers would’ve been cut by 75%, at least.
But the real goal of this whole thing was to create as much panic as possible, which would cause a lockdown and crater the economy for a bit, which would lead to what they really wanted, Trump ousted.
Other countries weren’t trying to expel their president from office like ours was.
They are now going to donate a billion vaccines to the developing world. They should also fund improved power infrastructure worldwide so that the freezers storing the vaccines do not stop working!
And also monitor all the doctors in poorer countries, since fake vaccine certifications are the norm. I know, because I lived in one such country for some years and got a fake vaccine proof yellow color book in the past! Miss those corrupt days.
