Should it be 9 weeks?

I see the left going hog wild over a high school girl giving a speech against it in Texas.

She says If her contraceptives fail or raped.

If 6 weeks isn't good enough, what about 9 weeks?

I don't quite understand the outrage here

Texas has a ban on abortions after 6 weeks.

The left thinks that's not right.

Would 9 weeks be a better compromise

6 weeks is too short. Women who have irregular periods or who aren't good at tracking them might not even know they are pregnant at that point.

Well I stand corrected.

So it should be 24 weeks?

At 6 weeks, or even 9 weeks, a woman may not even know she is pregnant. Every woman does not run on an exact 28 day cycle. Missing a period happens often enough that it doesn't signal pregnancy. Might have to wait another month to suspect one might be pregnant (9 weeks). Then there are women who don't run on a regular schedule. Could take them 3 months until they suspect they might be pregnant. After that, one takes a test and starts thinking about whether to go through the pregnancy or abort. Big decisions like that take time. Then one might have to wait for a doctor appointment. Is that TMI?

How about leaving alone those issues that do not concern you.

We had a compromise. Your side seems unwilling to accept it anymore.
