Is there a real point to investigating whether covid came from the Wuhan lab? (weapons, suspected)

Superficially, this is being driven by the human need to scape-goat. Once you move past that, the investigation might turn up a potential weakness in lab procedures for a BSL-4 facility. That's mutually beneficial for all parties, and could lead to an international agreement that makes us all safer. Even if an investigation doesn't find a leak, it might result in a broad safety review. We shouldn't be having any leaks.
Not just Asian countries but Australia and New Zealand too [you need to remember].
The reason is actually simple: they closed their borders early - first to the Chinese [ex Vietnam did that in January] then to everyone else [Vietnam closed its borders to everyone February]. They then imposed stricter lockdowns sooner. This was because they took it more seriously. Meanwhile in the USA, we only began closing our borders and locking down when our most populated city began to have hospitals fill up. By then it was too late, COVID19 was in all major cities.
NZ and Australia, I agree with. They put in especially draconian lockdowns. But most Asian countries? Most never shut down their economies. At the most they limited international travel. But hotels, restaurants and retail remained open (or at worst shut down very briefly). Their efforts were mostly limited to wearing masks (at the same time Fauci was telling us they were useless) and taking temperatures of those entering businesses.

They shut down their economies early [January and February - some of them], but what worked really well was contact tracing and shutting down international travel. If you have a low amount of cases, you can contact trace [see South Korea] and if all visitors go straight into quarantine hotels, then it's hard to further introduce more strains of the virus.
Australia and NZ did something similar. They never shut down their economies either. In Australia people are off to restaurants, nightclubs etc without masks. It's just a royal PITA to travel into and out of those countries.
China made this virus and purposely infected the world. They need to pay!!
Agree??
I can go along. Doesn't affect me personally.
China didn’t make it alone.
Going to war with China would be suicide.
