That's not a surprise if you're in East Texas as your profile suggests. Some areas never really took to mask wearing and other precautions and some did.
I live in Texas and everyone took to mask wearing. I rarely ever saw people two months ago without a mask in a retail store or grocery store (outside is a different story). I have noticed a lot of people not wearing them within the last two weeks though. Good for them. It’s too hot to wear that on your face. Our air is already so thick with humidity I don’t want to add another layer of oxygen deprivation.

Yes remember when Texas was going to explode with cases when Abbott relaxed restrictions? Lol
“Conversely, 71% of Democrats believe people should STAY HOME AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, although…
“As much as possible” is your interpretation. You couldn’t resort to only reporting what the article said.
Now the uninitiated reader takes your interpretation as FACT. After all, “it was written in the paper, wasn’t it”?
The most important part of the Gallup poll is: “Majority Now Think Healthy People Should Lead Normal Lives”….You on the other hand, don’t care about that.
I especially like the one guy who wears it as a protest for being allowed to not wear one.
This would be similar to a slave being freed and rejecting that, and rather, deciding to continue to live as a slave. It has happened. It's a psychological thing. Also similar to the "battered housewife syndrome."

"As much as possible" - how is that defined? I go to work, I go shopping, I have drinks with friends outdoors, I visited my family several times this spring, I even went to an outdoor concert. I even shook hands with a few new co-workers the other day. But I doubt I'll eat indoors for awhile, or go to an indoor concert or event.

I've been trying to figure this out myself. It's as if they live in an alternate universe where everything is backward.
