Sometimes a coincidence is just that.

<shrug>

I watched it unfold in real-time and the appearance was that the park was cleared for the President. That turns out to not be the case, evidently. I'm OK with that.

You would figure in a state of free press, that intentional lie by a major media outlet would cause the heads to be fired and perhaps prosecuted.

Unfortunately the line for prosecution and firings would wind around the block.

the unrelenting lies by the media goes unnoticed when people pile up on Trump.

Who would be part of an organization who needed to lie to push their agenda?

Doesn't get more embarrassing, unethical and borderline criminal for supporters and elected officials like schumer, pelosi, nadler, water clyburn, biden and president swalwell.

Even more outrageous is that none will suffer the wrath of the media, be prosecuted or suffer ethical consequences. This declares the US justice system, corrupt and ripe for widespread violation by citizens

The problem is that the mainstream media does not exist to inform the public of facts, but rather to shape a narrative that favors preferred political ideas.

Democrats support this dishonest system, as evidenced by this thread, because they think it supports their party. They are shortsighted and don't see that it is tearing the country apart and making both sides more fringe.

Oh please. It took the OIG a year to figure this out. AN ENTIRE YEAR. And you expected the media to figure it out the next day? LOL. And why DID it take a year for this to come out? Some big secret? Why didn't the Trump propaganda machine announce this the next day after it broke? Huh? Somebody want to explain that?

The media correctly reported that police used an excess amount of force to clear the park and IMMEDIATELY afterward the president did his famous bible photo-op. Those are facts that were reported correctly, even if you believe the OIG's excuse. It still looked and walked like a duck.

Funny how Trumpers can ignore a 1,000 page Bipartisan Senate Investigation Report on Russia Collusion into the 2016 election and pretend to this day that that Russia collusion is A HOAX. And then they zero in on some trivia like this like they've found the holy grail. LOL.

Who knows what would have happened if they ended up near the White House...a version of Jan. 6? So when he walked over to a church that had been burned, and held up a Bible, I thought it was a decent thing to do. Nobody should want churches burned, and nobody seemed to care about the ugly symbolism of burning a church except him.
To me it's stupid because the timing was suspicious and a tad insensitive. But that's Trump in a nut(job) shell. If there was justice in the world, the bible would have burst into flames.

Yet Another Media Tale -- Trump Tear-Gassed Protesters For a Church Photo Op -- Collapses

..ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos “reported” that “the administration asked police to clear peaceful protesters from the park across the White House so that the President could stage a photo op.” The Intercept published an article stating that “federal police used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear protesters from Lafayette Square in front of the White House,” all to feature a video where the first interviewee said: “to me, the way our military and police have behaved toward the protesters at the instruction of President Trump has almost been Nazi-like.”Nazi-like. This was repeated by virtually every major corporate outlet:...
The lies and distortions told concerning this incident were many.

The liars won't include basic context to why they needed to move the protesters. The night before, a protected landmark, a church, was almost burned down. The US AG wanted to move the safety buffer zone back another block, to prevent the leftist rioters from causing more damage. It was not moved back just so Trump could do a photo op.

Yup, Trump is not one to say he shouldn't do what's right, because the haters in the TDS afflicted news media might engage in false narrative and misleading reporting, just to make him look bad.

Oh please. It took the OIG a year to come up with that story. Why didn't the Trump administration simply say this was the case when it happened? Only two possible reasons. They had no idea what was going on, or the story is made up.

Anyone with two eyes could have seen that the 'protesters' were a security threat. I may have even been on these boards posting about that. They tried to breach the White House fence. They don't move the president into a bunker for no reason. The whole 'photo op' narrative was an invention of the media, and people ran with it.

Look what happened on January 6th. It could have easily happened to the White House. Actually, I think many in the media would have cheered it on. If BLM scaled the walls of the WH, like rioters did the Capitol building, they would have called it a 'reckoning' or an 'uprising' or some nonsense, just like they labeled the horrible, deadly summer of rioting a 'racial reckoning.' The media simply chose narrative over truth.
