Drag Queens are not the same as transgender.

Drag is a form of entertainment that focuses on glamour, fashion, and over-the-top makeup, hair, etc. It takes a lot of creativity and skill to do what some of those "weird people" do.

I'm curious as to what made you ask the question. Are you considering being a drag queen? I wouldn't know where to start, personally!

You mean they aren't.........

I always thought that a Drag Queen was just the equivalent. I mean, in Japan, they have Race Girls around the motorcross, so in the US for drag racing, there were Drag Queens.

Exactly. And Drag Queens are not near as scary as clowns.

Yes, think of it as stage makeup/costuming. Not trying to pass as a woman.

Then go to the carnival, stay away from the library.

I have only seen these people from afar, but they always seem to be happy, acting as if they are engaging in a type of theater. I think it might just be a tongue in cheek satire, people having fun in the way they dress. Being obviously over the top flamboyant just for the sake of being flamboyant. I think a lot of people dress to impress other people. So dressing flashier than the next guy is the point.
