In case the Democrats somehow figure out a way to try to impose a nationwide gun-grab, which they pretty clearly would like to do, the Governor of Missouri has signed a new law that prohibits police in Missouri from enforcing any federal gun laws.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has signed House Bill 85 into law Saturday, creating the Second Amendment Preservation Act. Parson signed the bill during a ceremony Saturday afternoon in Lee’s Summit near Kansas City.
The bill, introduced by Rep. Jered Taylor (R-Republic) in January, prohibits the enforcement of federal gun laws by local law enforcement agencies.
“I think anything on the federal level as it relates to the second amendment is an infringement,” said Taylor in February. “If anyone were to pass gun legislation, it should be on the state level... We’re just telling the federal government we’re not going to help you enforce your federal gun laws.”
Under the bill, Missouri agencies with police who knowingly enforce any federal laws could be sued and fined up to $50,000 per violating officer.
This is a very good idea. Especially since it is based on the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, which the Democrat left would clearly like to undermine, circumvent or revoke, if they could figure out a way to do it. In Missouri, they will now have to bring in law enforcement from outside the state. So that will make any such effort there exponentially more difficult.
Any Missouri law enforcement officer who complies with any such effort to enforce a federal gun mandate, could be fined $50,000 under this newly signed law, dubbed "The Second Amendment Preservation Act."
Second Amendment sanctuary states. How many do you think we will end up with?
My guess, in the neighborhood of 20.
