This is a good move on Texas' part. CRT is creating a generation of depressed, sad, guilt-laden children who grow up with no backbone because they've been brainwashed into cowed silence.
CRT is a great plan for stripping Americans of their pride and freedom. It's a terrible plan for maintaining our pride and freedom. It needs to go.

Texas schools do not teach... California schools teach... so you have a mismatch in the common education of the American... almost like two different countries teaching different things to their citizens....
You've "almost" figured out what the United States of America is.
It's actually really simple. If all the states have the same rules, same education, same everything, are there really any states?
Do you think that the kids growing up on farms in rural Nebraska need the exact same education as those growing up in the megalopolis of Los Angeles?
Big city populations lead pretty much the same lifestyle, with the same conveniences and concerns, regardless of where the city is. Big city life has been largely standardized through technology.
Most of the country is rural. Rural life is not universal or standardized. People in different places - sometimes even quite close to each other - can have dramatically different interests and concerns. While most of city life is "one size fits all," rural life is much closer to "one size fits one."
Much of the divide we see in our society today is over the competing interests of rural vs city dwellers. Adding to that is the insistence, mostly by Democrats, that absolutely everything be federalized, forcing the half of the population which lives in the majority of the country to live as city dwellers, but in a rural setting. Having lived in both, I can tell you, that's not going to work, and the harder they try to force it, the more resistance they're going to get.
I posted a thread arguing against the federal Department of Education the other day. You can find it if you're interested. Didn't get a lot of action, as is the pattern for pretty much any serious topic in here, but it's there.

I disagree. The ones pushing CRT the hardest are racist, guilt-ridden middle aged wealthy white progressive women. It is worse in private schools than public, Manhattan $50,000/year private schools are completely infested. Just listen to this guy who was fired for refusing to tell the white kids they were evil people because of the color of their skin:

Exactly, and that is why, along with many others, I believe in school choice. The money should go with the student, not directly to the district where they live.
Perhaps public schools, their boards, and administration would pull their heads out of their a**es and get back to the basics of education if this were the law.
