I can't take a "vaccine", so yeah. Most places here are no "vaccine", must mask.

I like being able to identify the folks who have been jabbed and are thus maskless.

^^^^This.

I keep one in my bag just in case I go someplace that requires a mask. Also, although I've yet to take public transportation after being vaccinated, the local transit system still requires masks, so I will comply with that.

Likewise...want to see how much the India variant spikes in the places that just reopened like California and evaluate from there...

But most stores around here have had rules in place saying they wanted you to wear one regardless. So I grudgingly put up with wearing one.

On June 15 California finally repealed their state law saying you have to wear masks indoors away from home, plus some other circumstances. Looks like many stores in the state are easing their rules accordingly.

Hallelujah!

Many people in the stores were still wearing masks, though maybe 1/4 of them were not. Some employees still had masks, some didn't. It's their choice whether to wear a mask or not wear one, just as it's my choice. Are there that many people who are not yet vaccinated? We're talking adults here, who have been eligible for vaccines for months.

Or do they just want to wear one so they feel they're obeying a rule somewhere?

As I said, they can certainly wear one of the want. They can wear a mask, or a hat, or leather shoes, or gloves, or any other such thing. And keep wearing it if they want to. Or they can not wear one if they don't want to, it's totally their choice.

Are you still wearing one indoors away from home?

As for me and my family... Mask-burning party will be on the 4th of July. Y'all come!

It's pretty freakin' sweet, init?

I'll be over in spirit with a mini cannon. We'll burn the masks and shoot the ashes out of the cannon.

In Fl - if got vax not required to wear the mask - opening in July 100% with the variant not sure it’s a good idea. Right now I have 4 fam members with COVID.

I quit wearing a mask when the Stillwater mayor decided to end the public masks requirement on May 14, two weeks later than Oklahoma City did. Required masks started in July. However, I don't get why local fast food workers are still wearing them, unless it's corporate ordered. Local restaurant workers aren't still wearing masks. Only a few store and restaurant customers still do.

I'd rather not see masks required again. I don't think they make a dramatic enough difference for the better.
