Loudoun County VA school board closes public-comment meeting when people started protesting insults, transgender policy
A school board in Loudoun County, VA held a legally-required meeting to entertain public comment on several far-left policies. But when one of the leftist members derided the religious beliefs of people who opposed those policies, people started booing her, and the school board soon voted 9-0 to close the meeting and cut off comments. Cops were called, and two people who refused to leave after the meeting was closed, were arrested.

The embattled school board of Virginia’s Loudoun County cut off public comments during a fiery meeting Tuesday as residents traded barbs over new transgender policy proposals. The meeting followed weeks of protests from district parents who oppose some of the measures, which they have criticized as potential left-wing indoctrination and a violation of parental rights.
The policies affect transgender student rights, privacy and restroom accommodations and would require Loudoun County Public Schools employees to use students’ preferred names or pronouns. An official school board vote on the proposal is not expected until at least Aug. 10.
The first half-dozen speakers were in support of policy proposal 8040, but fireworks erupted when the seventh, who identified herself as the mother of a transgender Loudoun student, was booed after saying "hate" was "dripping from the followers of Jesus in this room" – a swipe at Christian parents in the district who have argued that transgender discussions should be held at home and not in public school.
Former state Sen. Dick Black, a Republican, excoriated the board over its treatment of Cross and allegations that progressive community members had organized a list of their conservative neighbors to harass and publicly shame. The chamber erupted in cheers, prompting the board to vote 9-0 to end public comment for the rest of the meeting – which led to loud chants of "Shame on you" directed at the board and demands that members resign.
Ok, so some were arrested. So what exactly are they protesting? Do we have links & lesson plans with the teachings? Does anyone have numerous examples of critical race
Teachings that they find so offensive or is this just more broad knee jerk reactions without anything to back it up?
So.....no biggie.....they were arrested for making use of their first amendment rights?
And it doesn’t MATTER what they are protesting. You’re saying that if they are protesting something you think is fine, they deserve to be arrested?
All summer long, we had to deal with obnoxious, racist, hateful BLM followers burn, loot, and murder, with progressives claiming they were “mostly peaceful” protests - with even the future VP supporting bailing out those arrested.
In this case, parents protesting the leftist nonsense being crammed down their kids throats are being silenced. There is no room for those who disagree with The New America agenda - and they will be punished.
Another example of the "Mommy State." Either you take your medicine or you will be sent to your room without dinner...."Why do I have to take my medicine Mommy? Because I said so."
That’s why the participants want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream–a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information. They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it. And they believe the public needs to understand the system’s fragility in order to ensure that democracy in America endures.
Now we can all see that what they’re accusing everyone of they’re actually doing themselves. When they call you a fascist what they’re really saying is you’re an anti-communist “problem.” The implications of all of this are ground-shattering.
The country is split directly down the middle in a most decisive way and Joe Manchin, a democrat in a red state, holds the keys to the kingdom.

It doesn't matter what they were protesting. IT'S THEIR RIGHT TO DO SO.

Does everyone see what he did here? This is a typical Leftist tactic. The issue is that people were arrested for protesting, in what's a clear violation of their rights. This... person... is attempting to shift the topic to what they were protesting, and a specific aspect of that, because they feel they can win on that point, but not the original one. They KNOW that the arrests were unjust, but they agree with the action anyway, and they're trying to draw your attention away from that fact.

All he (and anyone else) had to do was comply and he wouldn’t have gotten arrested.
So, you advocate "just shut up and submit" to try to avoid trouble. Wow, you would be a citizen (serf) made in heaven to a totalitarian government! Bet they wish they had tens of millions just like you!
I'm trying to find out exactly what happened. I see a very upset parent speaking, and they cut off his mic, and then the board votes to end public comments. Did he speak over his time? Then a few don't leave and police arrest at least one for trespassing because he would not leave.
