153 workers resign or get fired from Houston hospital after refusing COVID-19 vaccine

Roughly 120 employees filed a lawsuit against the hospital in late May, arguing that they were being forced into being "human 'guinea pigs' as a condition for continued employment."
A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit on June 12, finding that the hospital was not illegally mandating its employees to get vaccinated.

285 employees had been granted religious or medical exemptions, while a separate 332 were granted deferrals for pregnancy or other reasons.

Have no problem with it...vaccinations will help end the pandemic...dangerous delta India variant in America now spreading amongst unvaccinated putting all at risk. They can feel free to find a job in another industry if they like where they are not around the elderly, and the sick. The pandemic is not over yet by any means!

Oh noes! In the middle of a pandemic medical personnel were told to either get vaccinated or find new work.

What exactly is the issue folks have with common sense?

Teachers need to know how to read and write.
Flight attendants need to fit through the aisles.
Firefighters need to be able to carry people.

And hospital workers need to not spread diseases.

Houston Methodist suspended 178 workers who had failed to do so on June 7, giving them an additional two weeks to prove they had been immunized. 25 of those employees did get vaccinated.

This is a victory for Freedom!

Anyone upset by this decision obviously hates Freedom and is not a Real American.

For refusing to take an experimental vaccine?

People who treated Covid patients for the past year...they shouldn't be forced to inject something in their body if they don't want to. What happened to 'honor our health care heroes" Another empty slogan?

Some already had Covid, so they don't need the shot but are being asked to take it anyway. Some want more data about blood clotting and myocarditis---currently being studied. Some want to wait for full FDA approval. Those are all common sense reasons.

If we end up with another Covid surge from some variant, or new lab leak, I hope these hospitals don't whine about staff shortages.

Why not just have them wear a mask then? Wasn't that the whole point behind the masks to begin with?
