I was at Home Depot earlier in the week. Those 2 X 4's are still over $10. They were selling for $2.59 when Trump was president. It was pitiful watching shoppers push around carts with just 2 or 3 2X4s, presumably because that's all anyone is willing to buy at these prices. Resident Biden hasn't done anything besides babbled incoherently and napping excessively. Personally, I would rather he focus on napping excessively and leave the babbling to someone less creepy and gaffe prone.

Limber prices are no longer an issue because they are down, same as under Obama when gas prices were up he was to blame but when they came down it became very quiet.
Overall, commodity prices are declining as the disturbances of the pandemic sort themselves out. With lumber, there was a lot of hoarding going on by the likes of Home Depot in anticipation of shortages. As the hoarders seek to liquidate their stocks, the prices will continue to fall. I am disappointed that Biden has still not rolled back Trump's ill-advised tariffs on so many goods, including lumber. The tariffs are a tax on consumers and once the government gets its hands on a tax, it is very hard to loosen that grip.
