Would you be in favor of legal consequences for killing people in your care, or is it another case of "Just trying to do their job, the patients were probably garbage human beings anyway"?
Which he’ll only do 10-15 years due to time served and parole. He’ll be free again, while GF doesn’t get a chance to rob pregnant women anymore. Police did their job.

If you want people to perform these dangerous jobs you can't send them to prison for mistakes, even when those mistakes result in someone's death.

He still has the federal trial. They are certain to add another 10 years. The radical left won't be able to resist their hard won victory for crime and chaos.
His job is not to hand down a death penalty for crimes already tried and sentence served. I'd probably agree with you on your thoughts about the sentences he got for his previous crimes, but it's not the cop's job to go around killing people who previously did bad things.
Agreed. Now I still expect Chauvin should he keep battling via appeals to higher courts to win an appeal on venue and sequestration, as the Mn judge messed up twice there, but I also expect the verdict in a 2nd trial to render the same result, with , more or less, the same prison term.

He didn't do his job and that is why he is in jail.
The sentence was just. It weighed the factors in the case. The gavel was center mark. Meaning neither lenient or harsh.
Chauvins' mom clearly is suffering. I've no doubt it's a parents nightmare to even absorb the person they raised killed in the manner exposed thru the trial. As a parent I do understand that quandary.
As a citizen though that egregious act deserved a trial and swift justice for the Floyd family..
I garnered more respect for Judge Cahill in staying out of a judicial pissing contest . He was precise. Brief. And kept the law in the forefront.

Actually the sentence wasn't fair - The former Minneapolis police officer who was found guilty of manslaughter for killing a woman who called 911 in 2017 received his sentence Friday morning. Mohamed Noor , who is Black, was reportedly sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for shooting Justine Damond, who is white, in July of 2017.
This cop shoots an innocent woman in cold blood and receives 12.5 yrs. Chauvin reportedly killed a criminal and receives 22.5 years. And I say reportedly because I don't think the evidence is clear knowing that Floyd had Fentanyl in his system and 4 witnesses say that he didn't have his knee on the neck when looking at videos from other perspectives.

A jury unanimously agreed the evidence presented by prosecution was convincing. The fact finding and trying of the facts portions of this episode is over.
