Here it is almost 7 months after the Jan 6th insurrection and riot and the meek Mike Pence decides to finally contradict Donald Trump. Where's he been? For goodness' sake, Trump tweeted bad things about Pence while the insurrectionists were in the Capitol, yelling "Hang Mike Pence," while erecting a full-size functional gallows outside.
If I was Mike Pence I would have testified at Trump's Senate impeachment hearing and said, "This man tried to have me killed. He should be convicted and barred from holding office ever again." Instead of standing his ground, Pence just whimpered into hiding and looked very weak. Pence would make a poor president. Too weak and wishy-washy. That and he attracts flies, lol.
Unless Trump or Desantis fail to get the nomination in 24 his career is done. Like most 'professional' politicians he's working on legacy.. Will say without evidence he couldn't withhold certification basically for what he stated-he was more worried about the image of the institution as were many other ' professional' politicians.

Pence's message has been consistent from day one. He never saw his role on the 6th was to overturn the election...he never pretended it was going to happen, never pretended it might happen, never pretended anything. He has talked openly and candidly about the events of June 6th and how it impacted him.
I may not fall in on the Pence political ideology -- but the man has stood firm and str4ong and true to his interpretation of events on Jan. 6th
