1. Anything race related.
2. Anything related to religion. (including abortion)

I feel like you would see a shift in POC voting conservative & life long conservatives voting Democrat. You have so many people that think it's a sin to vote for a Democrat so you no longer would have that thought. And how many POC vote Democrat simply because they feel Republicans are just more racist.

Sounds like you want to remove human nature from the political process.

The entire democratic platform is race, so that isn't going to work. They totally divided our country and this will never be fixed. I wish people could see what they did!

What would politics be like if all politicians were required by law to earn no more than a fixed $200,000 per year....no money for campaign lobbying, no charitable foundations used for money laundering, no kickbacks... I suppose the problem with that is only the rich could afford to run for office. Basically some way to keep them from pocketing campaign donations....

I agree removing religion from US politics would push some conservatives to vote Democrat.

It used to be kind of like that. I was old enough to follow the 1976 election of Carter. For a long time it was about the economy.

The evangelical movement started in the 70's and reached its peak in the '80s when it took over the Republican party with "family values".

The race equity movement started around the election of Obama in 2008, and took over the Democratic Party. I believe we are in the peak of that movement right now.

Hearing people preach critical race theory today is like seeing TV evangelists preach 24/7 in the '80s. It's the politics of moral superiority.

Exactly! I've made this comparison before but not quite so well put. The left has no moral high ground on their issues any more than the religious right did, though I will admit family values tend to make for a healthier society over indulging and experimenting in youth with all manner of activities, changing genders, etc... Utah consistently ranks as one of the happiest states....But if you truly believe in freedom you have to let people "be themselves" ... although governments throughout history have used control of information to indoctrinate people and basically make them what their leaders wanted them to be...it's a fine line....order vs chaos.... Allowing people to do what they want to do versus making them do what is good for them....

I see YouTube videos of Americans living in China that paint a much more pleasant picture of the culture than the communist dictatorship many perceive the country to be... Freedom is very subjective. I really want to spend some time there to see for myself.

You can look at the direction of society today to see the effects of removing God (not necessarily religion) from the discussion.
