I live in California and lately commercials from the NYC tourism board have played several times a day. This certainly not going to help boost tourism.

So many reasons for this. Honestly it is like the politicians care more about the perps than their own constituents.

Those NYC tourism commercials are playing in the Boston area as well. They are tremendously misleading as they don't mention that crime is increasing.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but New York city appears to be a bigger dump than even San Francisco.

Almost everyday yet another violent crime occurs many targeting innocent civilians. People have been stabbed and pushed onto tracks on the subway, people have been robbed and murdered out on the streets, it is pure insanity.

'Thanks' DiBlasio!

DiBlasio is really the worst mayor NYC has had. You can't visit there anymore. Shame. Giuliani and Bloomberg were really great for NYC. Guess we need to watch reality for a while and realize you need very proactive policing in black neighborhoods. Just the way it is. Oh unless you don't believe in statistics. Then all would look different. Or if you are someone that doesn't watch the local news at all. Then your opinion while fake would be different. Enjoy.

It is quite an accomplishment to be worse than San Francisco these days.

NYC leadership is a joke. How many are dead because of Cuomo's nursing home fiasco? DeBlassio is somehow an even bigger clown, though not by much. What an embarrassment for this great country.

No kidding! Especially when we have such a biased media.

NYC is going to lose a lot of tourism dollars. It's bad enough that the pandemic forced some hotels to close down but with rising crime and stupid stunts like not charging any of the summer of love rioters, looters and vandals with any crime is just making a bad situation even worse.

Much as I like visiting NYC, it will be a long time before I go back---and that's a shame. However, it serves them right for electing all these wokey-woke fools. Talk about low information voters!

I work in NYC. Thank God remote since March 2020, but in touch daily with people in NYC.

Avoid it due to the random violence folks until an administration comes in who is interested in stopping it.

This one panders to criminals, so I must assume it is this mayor's base.
