I have long favored a flat tax on gross income. No deductions. Everyone pays the same percentage.
Both parties seem to support Federal legislation that favors those with minor children.
The Child Tax Credit was doubled in 2017 which reduced Federal revenues by $127 billion / year more than the EITC ( $$65 billion) and SNAP ($ 60 billion).
Births paid for by Medicaid exceed 50% in 21 states. With few exceptions, it’s the red states leading the pack.
Federal employees receive 12 weeks paid leave for birth, adoption or fostering, a substantially better than is typically found in the private sector.
Property taxes typically favor those with school- aged children.
Thanks for asking quite an easy question. The answer is all those many, many Republicans, which is about all of them, who strongly feel with all their hearts and souls that all abortion must be banned.
may be an easy question, but you gave a wrong answer.
I guess this mom will miss out on her payments from the government. Someone should make sure her checks are voided.
"IRS To Begin Sending Out Child Tax Credit Payments In July"
"The Internal Revenue Service will begin sending monthly payments to families with children in July as part of the new expansion of child tax credits, the head of the agency said on Tuesday.
“We fully expect to launch in July,” IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig told lawmakers on the Senate Finance Committee. “We expect to launch with payments going out on a monthly basis.”
The expanded benefits are part of President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus package, the American Rescue Plan, which he signed into law last month.
The law will provide families a tax credit of up to $3,600 for every child under 6 and $3,000 for each child under 18."

Sad. Seems likely post partum depression - she is described as a "wonderful mother" and her youngest is 6 months, a really common time for women who experience severe PPD.
Wow, that's a weird news report, rather Star Trekkie: SCOTT [OC]: My assistant, Watkins, is dead.
SPOCK: Do you know what he died of, Mister Scott?
Not drowned, shot, starved to death, smothered, poisoned, or whatever other way they may have died. Ghoulish? Perhaps but on the other hand, given the lack of data of how the children died....................does thread really have a leg to stand on?
So what? Why wouldn't this happen in Oklahoma City or Tulsa as poor as the people are there?
Exactly. And it sure as heck happens in poor, rural areas, many/most of which are heavily Republican. Plenty of poor whites (who claim to have "conservative values") have kids, out of wedlock, they cannot afford.
I guess this mom will miss out on her payments from the government.
You - nor anyone else on this thread - know nothing about this women.
Never let that stop anyone from making assumptions and spouting stereotypes, though.
