What the heck was that? I'd like to know the context of what was going on before the outburst but geez guy NOT cool.

What was the lady at the end doing flipping through a magazine? I guess they must be talking about some serious business at that town meeting or that might just be how the board feels about the People. Nothing but Indifference.

That guy at the very least should apologize to that woman but I'd say he is toast over what he said. It is hard coming back from that and worse that he aimed his rude comment at a woman.

SMH….I swear, some folks are just asking for it.

He’d been wanting a chance to say that publicly for years, and he finally found his justification to do it. Now he’ll be winning elections in Alabama for any office he aspires to run for. That clip just tripled his popularity. Lol

Apparently this happened just before the video linked above (same resident at the podium):

The guy has some "issues".

Edited to add....Kudos to the mayor "we will not use our police to harass people".

What a weird thing to say.....I'm surprised some of the black people there didn't rush him for saying that.

The black woman next to him just sat there like nothing happened, and the black guy 3 seats down was just looking at his phone like nothing happened.

I'm white and am more upset than they seemed, which is strange, lol.

The entirety of the exchange is here. I did not watch the whole thing but it would appear from the first few minutes that I watched the genesis of this argument was the resident asking the councilman to explain his position on certain matters (that arose at a prior meeting).

So? Why would we want this kind of behavior around?

And sadly, I'm starting to expect this kind of behavior. It's happened before. Frank Artiles, Trent Lott, George Allen, Tom Worthan, it's happened before.

I don't understand this story.

So the city council member used the phrase, and stated the (black) mayor had called a (black) female city council member that? And that woman had threatened to sue the (black) mayor for racial discrimination?

What a strange story.
