A few trees on fire in the debris apron would not create enough heat to make the mountain fall down. Besides, if the park service felt those trees were a danger then the trees would beremoved.
As it is, the park service did set fires around the monument last year, and guess what .. it's still standing. And, the trees in the debris apron are still there too. https://www.nps.gov/articles/000/lar...l-memorial.htm
Yes there's hairline cracks in the rock, usually caused by ice and freezing temps, ground movement, etc. The park service monitors them and seals the ones that pop up. The rock is stable, which is why that particular mountain was chosen.
It would likely take an extreme event to bring those heads down, bombs/dynamite, earthquake, etc. Otherwise it does appear that those heads will remain there for a very, very long time.
But hey, feel free to give proof that a fire will bring that mountain down, instead of just making a claim that it would.
Bro! Wouldn't it be easier to just not have fireworks?

Of course it would.
I'm not a fan of fireworks but if they're going to be used then I'd rather see professionals setting them off then the average idiot doing it.
You still haven't proven your claim that a wildfire can, or has, caused a mountain, any mountain, to fall down. Since the rock in all mountains have fissures and cracks and have had wildfires on them then certainly you can give some examples of mountains that had fallen down because of a wildfire, right?
Noem was interviewed on Fox & Friends today, claimed that the cancellation was political decision by Biden ignoring all the reasons and of course the interviewer failed to bring up the reasons raised by the NPS.

Fireworks were reintroduced at Mount Rushmore for the first time since 2009 last year under Donald Trump, but the National Park Service (NPS) denied Noem’s permit request earlier this year. The NPS cited health reasons relating to coronavirus, wildfire risks, environmental concerns, and ongoing construction at the federal landmark -- which is not set to be concluded by the Fourth of July.

Oh look. Another day, another something ridiculous to be "horrified" about.
If you guys actually stuck to real issues, people might actually pay attention. When you post stupid articles over something minor, people eventually stop paying attention.
