There can’t be a “new black” since Democrats have convinced us that we blacks are permanent helpless victims. It’s the year 2021 but apparently we don’t even know how to get proper identification to vote or use a computer to sign up for vaccines. According to Democrats.

Agree. With the one exception above, the blacks on this thread are all protesting that there will never be a “new black! “ They like that 14% of the population will get the lion’s share of the attention and, ultimately, reparations to make whites pay for what most of their ancestors had nothing to do with.
That said, since leftists are all about “equity,” eventually the handouts and special preferences will “equalize” between blacks and whites (without requiring any change in behavior that contributed to inequity) and look to the next large class of people who are doing worse than whites.
That would be the Latinos.

I encourage every other group of non-whites to get as much as they can but leave our name and label out of it. We will cheer for them to get as much as possible from the powers that be, but we damn sure will make sure we hold onto our Blackness and all we have worked for since this country was created/stolen from the natives.

We have gone backwards. Children in school were almost, if not completely, indifferent to race of their classmates (and people in general). Now we have teachers banging over their heads saying, “see? See? This one is black! And Oye.....the trouble her great-grandparents had because of whites.”

Well, African-Americans were enslaved for over 400 years, a good 15-20% of white Americans still don't like black people to this day, to include a lot of law enforcement.
I'd say no other ethnic or racial group will ever have it as tough as black people had/have it in this country.

Belling made the point on his show yesterday that there is no systematic racism in the US because of the sheer number of immigrants over the last 50 years that have come to this country and gotten further ahead than many natives. If there was truly some system in place preventing "people of color" from getting ahead this would never be the case.
It's unlikely any group will be the next black. They have the blacks right where they want them... as victims screaming how oppressed they are, voting democrat. They'll pander to any group and throw money at them for their vote though, and people vote for the free stuff candidates.
That's your problem...you don't care about anyone or issue but your own.
As for my own self, no one could celebrate me as a trend follower. Next.
