Okay. I’ve heard from some people that socialism doesn’t always work as a new form of government, take Venezuelan government for example; Venezuela didn’t used to be a socialist country, and when it was still capitalist it was solvent even a prosperous country, then it became a socialist/communist country and most everything went south when it became socialist.

I have heard of other places that were capitalist and then became socialist, and in the vast majority of cases the same or similar outcomes materialized. How do you feel about American government falling victim to the communist socialist revolution that is happening right now? Do you think socialism would be “Good” for Americans? Please share your thoughts on this matter

No one in any party is proposing socialism.

You can tell the quality of the post when the OP doesn't know the difference between socialism and Democratic Socialism. It's like because it has "socialism" in the name, then they're all the same.

They probably also think hamburger and ham are the same thing.

It is true Venezuela has socialist programs, but they were not entirely responsible for the country's economic collapse. The nation's strong ties to its oil industry led to great success then great failure. Venezuela's demise did not occur just in the last decade, but has its roots in the Hugo Chavez era, which started in the 1990s, and before. .

There is no communist socialist in progress now. For starters, Medicare For All will not pass. You, no doubt, don't realize the strong hold the corporate agenda has on Congress. That agenda is vehemently opposed to socialism.

Okay. I see it’s problems were rooted from the Hugo Chavez era back in the 90’s thanks

The US isn't capitalist in current state, and no one is proposing we become socialist. The pure forms of both socialism and capitalism result in complete failure. Socialistic and capitalistic policies blended are the only way a country can be successful. Not one or the other. People cried wolf about socialism ruining the country when social security and Medicare were started. It seems the socialistic policies we have enacted so far have been very successful

You missed a few…

Also, you’re a “stakeholder,” not a socialist>communist. There’s still a huge war machine in front of a large capitalist-like machine in front of a large propaganda machine in front of a bunch of morons screaming “anti-fascism!”

Welcome to the 21st Century.

Socialism is an economic system ... or theory.

It is not a form of government.
