Food IS cheaper. I know this because my local fruit stand was giving away baskets of Oranges and Apricots for free.
I shop at the grocery store and keep finding the exact opposite to be true. Is it possible that the fruit stand is an anomaly? Bread, meat, cheese, fruit, etc. It all costs more for me. Do you ever buy such things? If so, how does the price compare to two years ago?

According to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, overall food prices are up in general from last March. For the month of April, pork prices climbed by 2.6% and are up by 4.8% from one year ago.
According to The Washington Post, beef and veal prices stayed the same for most of April. But overall, they are up by 3.3% from last year.
Here's one former President that gave us some words of wisdom.
“No matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as the truth.”
― John F. Kennedy
That's something along the lines of the NAZI propaganda Chief Joseph Goebbels' quote; “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Take special note of the last 9 words of his quote: "....the truth is the greatest enemy of the State". Seems like the Dems are making sure they follow his advice to the letter.
2020 was a pandemic year. 2021 prices are up 8% from 2019.
