Unvaccinated people do more than merely risk their own health. They're also a risk to everyone if they become infected with coronavirus, infectious disease specialists say.
That's because the only source of new coronavirus variants is the body of an infected person.
"Unvaccinated people are potential variant factories," Dr. William Schaffner, a professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, told CNN Friday.

I got my vaccine (Moderna) because I wanted my freedom back, not because I worship the Covid god. That, and my job arranged it for me through a local Walgreen's; I even walked there during my work time. Still, medical/science organizations forever lost their credibility: from the CDC (a subsidiary of George Soros, Inc.) to the Mayo Clinic. When the Democrats paid Facebook et al. to censor hydroxychloroquinine out of public view, that's when I smelled a rat. We could have reopened the economy by Easter 2020. But no!

I don't know who you think the "they" is but this is a world wide situation. Pandemics by definition are not just in one country. You all just keep moving the goal post.
How about looking at it from the perspective of Occam's Razor? Its a real event that cannot just be stopped and started as needed. And if its going to keep going until the mid terms it will be mostly Trump voters who won't get vaccinated that will make that the case. If you all get the shot it will go away quickly. If you really believe "they" want to drag it out another year you can stop that by getting the vaccine.
I actually disagree with this premise, and it's the main reason I didn't get vaccinated. Chile is an unfortunate example of a country where they have a very high vaccination rate and continue to monkey with people's lives with lockdowns and so forth. I am firmly in the camp of "this goes away when we the people say it does." I am happy that we have states with less than 40 percent of people vaccinated, because it blows up the false narrative that, in order or this to be under control, we need 60 percent or 70 percent or whatever goal public health is going to pull out of its ass next week. There is no crisis anymore, whether your state has a high or low vaccination rate. That's why every story out there makes liberal use of "may" and "could" and "should." "You could" be a breeding ground for deadly variants (ooh, so scary) if you don't get vaccinated. It's complete BS at this point. The fearmongers can shove it, once and for all.

It's a virus. It doesn't have the capacity for understanding that a majority of people are really tired of it. All it can do is jump from unprepared human host to human host to propagate its genetic material, and it will do so - mechanically, unthinkingly, unflinchingly - until it runs out of humans who put out the welcome mat for it. And it will get better at doing so over time.
It doesn't give a hoot about "we the people" except as a resource for propagating itself. It's a predator. We're meat.

Did you forget about the looters and the arsonists from the Summer of Love? None of them ever got sick. And I'm sure none of them masked or social distanced, either. Is Covid smart enough to avoid people engaged in those acts? Is "mostly peaceful" protesting as effective as getting a vaccine? Or is the whole thing an anti-placebo effect: you only get it if you're afraid of getting it? What say you?

In the light of the fact that currently most Covid patients are unvaccinated - and by far the majority of Covid victims are unvaccinated - I'd say that you typed a dumb thing and should feel bad about doing so.
It's a virus. It really doesn't give a hoot about your mental attitude.
I think most people around the world who have a modicum of common sense are thinking:

Do you people who got the jab feel duped because you were told you wouldn't need to wear a mask, you were protected and you were protecting everyone around you? Now the dictators are telling you they were just kidding, none of that is true!
Remember, a lot of money is being made by BigPharma. Is it within the realm of possibility that they are giving out bonuses to politicians, who love money, for pushing this experimental drug on people?
