DeSantis DID buddy-up to Biden the other day on his Florida visit.... Hey.... to get fed $$$ sure right....

Still, Dems are not naive on DeSantis. Worse then Trump would to be most like .... where a President DID the SUSPENDING of the Constitution to put the US under a one-man control. Then do a Putin... Oh we have free elections. I just get to stay prez for life...

I would not expect a DeSantis at a Trump Rally.... If it happened I would think DeSantis might be thinking a Vice-President to Trump deal....

I just hope there's a Republican candidate who speaks in short headlines and THEN tries to get a full sentence out successfully. It would make this forum much better.

Trump couldn't, and appears it's contagious. Can DeSantis?

Hmm. I would have thought the statement would be something more like, "I really wish he could come and be with us, always enjoy DeSantis' company, but admire his dedication to the crisis at hand in his state".

Mutual agreement. Hmm.

Be interesting to see if Trump makes any complementary comments about DeSantis, as he always has in the past.

when the inevitable happens and don throw desantis under the bus what a show that will be!

Why not? I would certainly suspect he attended in the past.

This isn't specifically a Trump campaign rally, but rather, a proRight wing rally. Republican governors of other states have CERTAINLY attended Trump rallies before.

And really? DeSantis is needed at the Surfside spot every minute? Maybe the optics of him going to a party aren't great, but he's not NEEDED for one evening 2 weeks after a building collapse.

It does seem that that might be coming.

After that respectful, mutually complimentary meeting DeSantis had publicly with Biden, I don't think his relationship with Trump will survive.

Maintaining a best friend relationship with the meanest popular girl in middle school is HARD WORK, and never ends well, and since DeSantis has never been a middle school girl he has no idea. Oh, he sat there and watched Trump throw everyone else under the bus who were unfailingly devoted, like Pence and Giuliani, and a host of others, but of course middle school girls never think the mean girl will turn on THEM.

I kind of like DeSantis, though. Kind of.

It won't be long until Trump comes up with some derogatory nickname for Desantis. Probably will end of something real clever like "Little Ronnie"...

Clearly, we shall see. As long as Trump sees DeSantis as a possible contender and DeSantis may want a tad of independence.... That is why I take a wait and see attitude and I would think a DeSantis to the Texas Gov could be VP choices in a true run still a couple years off for a real test and VP choice. UNLESS one or both concider running for the GOP Pres nomination. Trump wants full loyalty like yesterday and forever. Way to paranoid and thin-skinned to let someone in see he supports a possible competitor....

I never say never keep my own voting options open as a Moderate. Just more a never-Trump kind still at this time...

I do not let Abortion Rights make me a never Dem person for sure. Waaay too many other issues.

DeSantis is another utterly worthless piece of cow feces. Just like his god Trump. Neither of them has ever read the Constitution or understands it. They are both racist jerks trying to force their thinking on the rest of us. I suspect they are both the result of inbreeding experiments.

They are going to demolish the building. With who ever is still there. It’s very hard on the families and community and he should be there.
