I think we can infer from the video that the main flag is off to the right since that's where most of the people in the stands with hands on hearts are facing. By contrast all the ceremony participants, including the elderly harmonica player are facing front, except for six of the players on the American team who are facing to the right. I agree that it's hard to tell if anyone was protesting. Just from looking at the video I'd say no, they weren't.
It isn't remotely difficult to tell. What do you think the six facing to the right with their hands on heart and singing the anthem were looking at?

I agree they weren't turning away from him, but were turning away from the flag.
But why do you need to wait for commentary from others to determine what it is you are seeing with your own eyes?
I assume that 4 of the members are protesting but then I don't see the flag in the OP's link. But the title indicates they turned their back on a 98 year old veteran and that doesn't seem to be the case.
"go away" ... What part of current events leads you to believe wokeness goes away? It's a cancer and it's spreading. It's not a "very few" anymore. You might have said that circa Kaepernick but not now. The media transports it, craven corporations cave in to it, Big Tech protects it, professional sports panders to it and absolutely no name-brand democrat leaders stand up to it. What's going to make it go away? Is our end-game strategy just a hope for some deus ex machina to restore sanity in America? ... Like finding out that the common cold kills the aliens in War of The Worlds?
We have to stand up to them. Don't turn on sports. Don't buy Nike and Coke. Don't use Twitter. Don't vote democrat and do it all en masse.
I recall Colin Kaepernick was a national problem that needed focus by the president, it disappeared. Plenty of larger issues in this country rather than peaceful protests.
