Republicans believe Christianity is the glue that holds society together and at minimum, America will fall without it and at worst, God will destroy the nation for abandoning it.
Democrats have a diverse range of belief on Christianity as many are Christians, but they tend to reject the idea that Christianity is an essential glue to keep this country together and are therefore the party of atheists, agnostics, Hindus, Muslims, most American Jews, liberal Protestants and liberal Catholics, the black church...basically anyone not white evangelical.
Republicans demand a monoculture while Democrats believe pluralism can work.
All the Democrats are trying to do is replace one religion - Judeo Christian for another - Wokeism.
The difference is that Judeo Christians allow for tolerance of opposing beliefs - they don't Cancel 'Non-Believers'. Whereas the Democrats use Wokeism to ruin a non-believer's life, currently just socially (job, reputation, etc) but 'soft' Cancel-Culture will soon escalate into Cancellation With Extreme Prejudice!
I dont think so, I see alot of center-right and center-left people realizing that is not a binary choice, it isnt capitalism or socialism, its isnt even a combination of the 2, plenty of interesting material out on this.

If having to coexist with LGBTQ people or live in a society that allows women to make their own healthcare choices is ruining a believers' life, that says a lot about their religion. Fundamentalist Christians allow other beliefs to exist as long as they keep it to themselves and they refuse to accept a society where their social norms aren't the status quo for everyone. When you get down to it, "woke" simply means representation in popular culture for groups other than white, straight Christians. That's what Republicans cannot tolerate. And in regards to job, reputation, etc factor, conservative Christians fire LGBTQ employees all the time out of spite.

This claim of a CULTURLESS Society.... has been used in EVERY ERA of change in STYLES, HAIR, DRESS Slang terms and on and on. EACH ERA CHANGED AGAIN. Culture changing is the CORE VALUE OF THE USA actually. It is our aspect of CULTURE given to the World.
Some of us older know all these decades of change. Far less change today actually in some ways. WE STILL HAVE ACCESS OF EVERY PREVIOUS ERA OF CULTURE, MUSIC ETC. these United States and accepting of musical styles from other Nations..... kept these changes ongoing like ALWAYS.
The Jazz era, Blues, Country always there, mixing, Rockabily into Rock, Older Rock to a newer Rock into the 60s with heavy Blues component and every one since. Folk, Funk, Disco,Punk, Metal. The first Rap in it song hit #1 in 1981 with Blondie. Most did not know what to make of it.... just loved the artist and song. It did not make Rap Mainstream yet for decades. Today the growth of Rap/Hip Hop we already see some changing in it. What it will go into.... we still do not know. Perhaps it is seen as too un-Cultured and less a ability to be a positive influence. Yet every era of musical change was seen as a NEGATIVE influence bu those who rejected it.
This Nation went though many sometimes radical decades and those of change. The 1950s saw how one man cause the Cold Wars scare to become a coming for your Children hyped one named Joseph McCarthy. That Commies were infiltrating everything.... Film, gay people, liberals in general and especially .... all branches of Government.

Yes we always had degrees of this in every era. Time of some good and times of a falling back to acceptance. So many eras RADICALS CALLED - A End of the World at Hand and a -- THEM and THOSE PEOPLE. They are to BLAME. STOP THEM AND SAVE US ALL.
We are not a culture-less society. We are rich in history, both the good and bad. What we cannot seem to do (individually) is control what could be termed the 'evil' within ourselves and work towards peace with our fellow Earthlings. So we are fractured.....it's US against THEM, and it does not have to be that way.
Everyone wants to be right.
Everyone thinks their way is better. - These apply to our 'leaders' as well. Haven't seem a real leader in decades. They want to create policies that alienate and discount those that don't hold their worldview.
Certain people want to cancel out the bad things that have happened in our society (as if they would not have still existed). I guess they can't deal with the reality and actually come up with ideas that will help us all overcome our negative feelings and truly heal.
Their efforts to make things 'better' are fraught with unintended consequences. And it doesn't appear anyone is wise enough to carry them through to their logical conclusions before they put things in motion that will affect all of us.

When America is no more, it won't be because of issues like this that the average schmo never gives much thought to.
If for some reason it is, it will be because of the intolerant woke who feel they must be agreed with at all costs. They think their intolerance is justified by the perceived intolerance of those who disagree with them.
Otherwise, those issues are but a tiny portion of a much bigger disconnect going on in our society.
One thing I'm noticing is the absence of innovation and progress. Everyone blames everybody else while China/southeast Asia runs circles around us.
Yes, America has been declining for some time now. It's never been perfect and we've done some stupid things, but that still doesn't mean we're currently experiencing the fall. Or perhaps we're not. But I have a hunch we are.
Whether it's catastrophic societal collapse or states quietly seceding to the point the U.S. is no more (or something in between) is anybody's guess.
The modern United States seems to be a cultureless wasteland, a free-for-all of debauchery. It is, as it exists today as purely a material extrapolation that revolves around degenerate greed, shameless money grubbing, worship of material gain, and hyper-consumerism.
Offering socialism as an alternative is useless, for egalitarianism is a made-up artifice, and likewise, the capitalistic notion of meritocracy is equally a lie in an organized system that is entirely rigged from top-down, in reality, we live in a post-capitalist and post-socialist world where nation-states along with societies everywhere are collapsing because neither system nor ideological thought can sustain present mankind.
The collapse of western civilization and indeed civilization around the world over time will be a direct result of the inherent failures of both competing ideologies.
So, what happens to a nation like the United States that has no culture, identity, or ethos other than the unification of a diverse multitude group of people through material greed? For once the very mechanism of material greed that is the only remaining social glue holding society together disintegrates due to overall societal collapse, what is left afterward?
What is left afterward is a diverse multitude of people that hate each other, for once the unity through material greed dissolves as the only single strand holding people together one by one everybody will turn on each other as a war of all against all.
The future of a collapsed United States and west is basically this; a Hobbesian dystopia of all against all, where life is poor, solitary, nasty, brutish, and short. This is the natural consequence of a culture completely ingrained in materialistic greed collapsed in on itself, a society based solely on a zero-sum game descends into the complete total chaos of an equally zero-sum nature.
This is what hell looks like when a collapsed society or civilization descends into the hell of its own very creation and fashioning. Alas, the modern clown world will desperately blow its last honk as the world descends into chaos, lawlessness, madness, and an orgy of violence everywhere. People with the animals within will savagely turn against each other releasing the true savage beasts of themselves. I present you all a future glimpse into our collective final descent or voyage into hell.
We've been on an inevitable road to ruin for decades now. It won't matter who is in power or what they do. It happens in every society at some point. It always comes from within.
