There's that little thing about the New Testament, which defines Christianity.
Love one another as I have loved you, and whatsoever you do, to the least of your brethren, that you do unto me.
Whether or not you believe in that is up to you. But if you're a Catholic, and think the Catholic church isn't for welcoming strangers into your home and country, well, I guess you didn't read the Catholic position statement I posted.

BUT. most Republicans believe that we shouldn't be welcoming to illegal aliens,
You will find that it is Churches and religious organizations, which if you believe the Liberal Media, is mainly made up of "Radical" Conservatives are often the ones who are helping these people anyways.
The Catholic Church believes in welcoming all immigrants.
Republicans do not.
The Catholic Church believes any baby conceived should be carried to term, if biologically possible.
Democrats do not.
I'm not going to sit and argue whether the Catholic church is Biblically sound doctrine, or as another poster suggested that our southern border was created by God.
The church is what it is.
And if you can't be a Catholic and be a democrat, well you can't be a Catholic and be a Republican either.
I'd be for NOTHING being tax exempt, be it a church, Planned Parenthood, BLM, or any organization. At minimum, each should pay PILOT (Payment in Lieu of taxes for specific services).
I would support any church that asserts anyone belonging to their faith cannot also be a Nazi or Communist.
The rest is a matter of nuance.
