Really? This is from 1961 when a trained psychologist interested in the hysteria surrounding “brainwashing” in Maoist China went to Hong Kong to interview missionaries, intellectuals and former prisoners. Here he explains Mao’s general principals:

Quote:
The argument continues as follows: the "old society" in China (or any non-Communist society anywhere) was (and is) evil and corrupt; this is true because of the domination of the "exploiting classes"—the landowners and the capitalists or bourgeoisie; every- one has been exposed to this type of society and therefore retains from it "evil remnants" or "ideological poisons"; only thought reform can rid him of these and make him into a "new man" in a "new society." When this argument is applied to Chinese intel- lectuals, it is also pointed out that they originate from the "ex- ploiting classes" or from the closely related petite bourgeoisie, since only people from these classes had the means to acquire an education. And long philosophical treatises emphasize the need to bring the "ideology of all classes" into harmony with "objective material conditions" 2—or in other words, to blend personal beliefs with Communist-implemented social realities.

But it was never “brainwashing,” it was “Thought Reform” (snickers).

There is no such thing as studying Critical Theory. It is based on Marxism and the founder of Critical Theory, besides saying it looked to remake Marxism, requires that it be practiced.

Quote:
Because such theories aim to explain and transform all the circumstances…
https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/critical-theory/

Quote:
The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.

[These words are also inscribed upon his grave]
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/173...n-various-ways

You all keep failing to understand that there is no academic level, or any other level, of simply studying Critical Theory. So you (maybe not you in particular but left-leaning liberals) argue, and apparently believe, that “this isn’t happening” because you’re assigning a “good faith” effort to their lies.

So when the NEA and AFT comes out and says they’ve created a defense fund the immediate thought is they needed the money to defend themselves in court to teach accurate history.

See the quote above from 1961

If educators are to counter global capitalism’s increased power to both depoliticize and disempower, it is crucial to develop educational approaches that reject a collapse of the distinction between market liberties and civil liberties, a market economy and a market society. This suggests developing forms of critical pedagogy capable of appropriating from a variety of radical theories — feminism, postmodernism, critical theory, post- structuralism, neo-Marxism, etc., and those progressive elements that might be useful in both challenging neoliberalism on many fronts while resurrecting a militant democratic socialism that provides the basis for imagining a life beyond the “dream world” of capitalism.

Two different subjects.

Neither has anything at all to do with Marxism, I don't know where you get that.

I have posted before a family member was pushed out for being a conservative. He knew it. He has also gone to other schools and he was bulled by his teachers because he is a free thinker and a smart thinker.

He is a self starter. He was too smart to be handled to think like them. He has independent thinking but the Marxist teachers viewed him as a threat to what they were saying. He knew it and spoke often about it. He was not blinded by their messaging .
I'm not sure how you push a student out of a class or a school just for having a different viewpoint. I've attended college classes where there have been a variety of viewpoints and no one was ever pushed out for giving their opinions. Most colleges I know welcome open discussion. I'm not saying it didn't happen to your family member, as I'm sure it must have since you say it did, just not sure why it happened.

It's not the government's job (my job) to provide for other people.

It's here already and most people don't even realize it. Just wait and see unless you accept it and start fighting back.

If you're capable of thinking outside the box (no matter what political party you belong to) buy Mark Levin's book "American Marxism"...

Sanders is a Marxist, the Squad, and the list goes on.

I guess it's easier to deny that this is happening just like the Germans denied what was happening with Hitler until they couldn't deny it anymore.

God Bless America!

It has always been thus. That's what taxes are for. Your taxes go for roads, FAA, public schools, etc. That's the way the system is set up. So yeah, it kinda is your job, lol. I've been paying school taxes on various homes for over 40 years and never had a kid. However, I think it benefits all of us to have an educated populace so I've been happy to do it. The only way out of it is to go live on a deserted island by yourself.

Your Saul Alinsky tactic is no longer a strong debate tactic.. making fun is no tactic at all . If you can't debate it , it shows what I say is true.
