Then you'll just have to hope that getting sick with COVID-19 will be no worse than the common cold. I chose to take my chances with the Pfizer vaccine, which has been no worse than the flu vaccine.
Considering both of my coworkers were knocked on their ass for a week by the vaccine I think I’ll take my chances
These are probably the long term possible effects of this vaccine. Remember, it's not approved and the world is the last "trial" here.
I'm not totally surprised seeing we are so used to vaccines that have a 10-20 year testing history.
So..it is what it is and expect to see more oddities as time goes on...called "possible long term effects" and that is because we are the living "long term trial" patients.

A week? I had a severe reaction that only lasted about 24 hours. Haven't heard of anyone having a reaction that lasted a week. I've heard of several who had reactions like mine.

People have reported that after their second shot...flu like symptoms that put them out for days.
Happened to my neighbor.
That's why so many are hesitant to get the second shot...
But this thread is about the J&J shot which doesn't have that effect at all; just the Pfizer and Moderna shots.

As I said, I had a severe reaction that knocked me on my butt (fever, chills, muscle aches, etc.) for about 24 hours. My SIL, several friends and acquaintances also had similar reactions. I don't know anyone who had them for a week though. But I'm not saying it didn't happen to your neighbor, I'd just not heard of that long a time frame.
