Um, how many are we talking here? Seems like an article short on facts and long on anecdotes.

Canada is not taking a significant number of US immigrants and every year there is an insane discrepancy of people leaving Canada to go to the US.

Basically, seems like this is a very very slanted article.

But his/her opinion, by your post, obviously bothers you.

If you think he's wrong, there's no logical reason for you to care what he/she thinks/for his/her opinion to bother/upset you. People don't care about the opinions of people they think are wrong.

The only logical reason that his/her opinion bothers you is that you know he/she is correct, and you don't like being reminded of that.

You know it's slanted when "immigration reform" is mentioned. There is no reform only amnesty and it should be kicked completely out of congress.

Correct. To give an example, Lethbridge, Alberta hit 96F (36C) yesterday, and highs in the 90sF (+30sC) are predicted for the coming week. Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for southern Alberta.

Then there was Lytton, BC, which hit a Canadian heat record of 121F (49.6C) last week.

Still think that Canada's too cold?

Yep. We pander to unskilled, uneducated criminal aliens, and ignore those with skills and abilities trying to play by the rules.

This is about skilled immigrants and how they are choosing Canada over the US.

I don't think it's mentioned in the linked paper above, but Trump himself negotiated with the leader of the Polish workers. I've posted links about that in the Illegal Immigration sub-forum for Oldglory before. You can look there if you care.

Here's a bit more:

https://time.com/5039109/donald-trum...bonwit-teller/
are not those cases one and the same? It sure seems so. And one would assume that the "legal article" would include every reference to Trump that existed. I mean, there's 49 "Trump" references, but only one of those is to Trump himself - that he visited the site, saw the workers, and said "Oh, these look like good hard workers."

So, unless you find some different incident, or some EVIDENCE admitted to the legal proceeding, I'll pass on any hearsay that Trump went and found a bunch of non-union, illegal immigrant Polish.

Of course, all this does is serve to inject some good ol' TDS into a topic that hardly involves him, and surely doesn't involve a 40 year old story about low-skilled illegal immigrants

Intentionally leaving out the numbers is the sign of dishonesty. It's probably about 1 of a 100 and thus someone is using anecdotes to try to claim a big problem.

Toronto grew by a higher # and a higher % than San Fran. We have to read the article, and follow the links, to see this info. I'll go grab it.

Zoe Lofgren was bemoaning having seen this article apparently which was produced perhaps earlier that morning.

Large Markets listed: US: 1,925,200 workers; Canada 431,100
Small Markets listed: US: 327,100 workers; Canada 81,200

*% of total population: US: 0.6%. Canada: 1.2%

*someone else can cipher the %'s of 18-65 population. And if interested, the gross # growth or % between US and Canada over this 5 year period.
