Top Generals had met to plan for what they would do if Trump attempted to issue illegal orders. They must have had some kind of information that something was being planned. Eventually there will be interviews with Jump aids who were there when this idea was floated.
Well it was perhaps the closest this country has come to a non-peaceful transfer of power. I wasn't unhappy to see the former President get on that plane and leave at the end.

What really sucks is that we are in a place where this is no big deal to half the country. Prior to 2015 and the social changes that happened that year, both parties would agree that this kind of stuff is treason and should not be tolerated. In fact, it was unthinkable in the USA.
But here we are, with half the country believing a coup and dictatorship is a good thing as long as that dictator hates the right people.
General Milley is the woke general. There is a chance this is theater and imagination.
Far from woke, Trump was on the edge of attempting to overthrow a valid election, just claiming Milley is woke is neither a valid or mature argument. Heard the same from other generals including McCaffrey.
Lots of people were worried that Trump would use the military to stage a coup. It would seem anything might have been possible with that psychopath in the WH.
