So I saw that the Trump camp's GETTR app got 1.5 million downloads in a week and decided to try it, and was pleasantly suprised. This is actually a very viable alternative to Twitter. You can sign up as a guest with just a username and start using.
Parler was garbage compared to this, you had to provide all sorts of info and it was clunky.
I had gotten twitter so I could see all the stuff Trump put out, without having to wait for the rest of media to give me just the parts they wanted to. My iPhone would give a little beep when something came in.
Now that Twitter has taken its ball and gone home, I've signed on to GETTR for the same reason.
I have no other use for either Twitter or GETTR etc.
I've since forgotten how to make my iPhone give that little beep, when something from Trump's account came in. How do you do it?
The only way for the silent majority to vote is with their wallets, given the sheer amount of power the progressive establishment has. If you just ignore the problem and continue to let them run free reign with cancel culture, CRT, equity, etc. you only contribute to the problem. Demonetize these corporations like they have demonetized conservative content. It's the best way to fight back.
I only wish I hadn't just bought a new Android phone... at this point I'd rather overpay for an underpowered Apple device than deal with google, but I'll clamp down on everything so they can't make a cent off me.

A string of top accounts on the new pro-Trump app GETTR were hacked and defaced on its July 4 launch day, and the person claiming to be the hacker says the site still has several security bugs

There should be an option to turn on notifications for the app. Not all apps have notifications so this may or may not work.
