You forget to mention a couple of very important points, firstly the UK has been out of lockdown for a while and most importantly the last time infections were this high 1250 people A DAY were dying of Covid but now thanks to the vaccine the figure is around 40 a day (of which nearly all are un-vaccinated), this is the sole reason why the UK has not gone back into lockdown.
I have been saying for a while that the vaccines don't work and been scoffed at. But the proof is adding up.
IN the USA yesterday we logged 40K cases.
Any argument that deaths are lower is moot. It takes about 6 weeks for the deaths to show up.
This is the exact pattern that we did last year. In July the cases bumped up again before dropping in early fall and then, in late fall things went crazy.
My question is how is it that we are not reaching heard immunity based on just people who had the infection.
It is a fact that 40 to 60% of the population already had immunity due to prior covid infections (before 19) and it is also a fact that they suspect that the infections that are counted are only about 1/3rd of actual infections... so by now... there should be about 120m people in the USA that had infections and are immune, and maybe 60K that had natural immunity.
I suspect strongly the "numbers" are tweaked along with a political agenda.
If you look at the numbers for countries that don't have a political agenda -- france and Italy, the numbers are much lower... why don't they have a "variant"

I live in a small town that got through previous covid waves without mask wearing or anything else and less than average per capita case numbers and deaths.
Rome can burn for all I care. We may end up with masks forever in the big cities. Glad I am far from that mess.
