covid was one of the worst things to happen in terms of widening the wealth disparity between the lower/middle class and upper class. You force tons of small businesses to basically be closed, meanwhile everybody is shopping at Walmart and Costco and amazon. Anybody with a ****ing brain could see this all coming from 10 miles away

so how do liberals justify how they supported mass shutdowns for something with a 99.997 survival rate that crippled large segments of the lower and middle class?

and now, houses and cars are insanely expensive because of covid shutdowns
It’s all a conspiracy to enact socialism.

I will assume the original poster is referring to "absolute" risk vs "relative" risk (i.e. death rate). The absolute risk would be the likelihood of contracting and dying of Covid.

Assuming 608k in deaths and a population of 331 million, the math works out to approximately .18%. So the likelihood of dying of Covid in absolute terms is 100 -.18 or 99.82%

In relative terms you would be taking the total people that contracted the disease as the denominator so that likelihood would be higher.

But perhaps the original poster can chime in to explain what he meant.

Liberals are for the big corporations,, not the little guys.. Gas prices up, hurts the poor and middle class people who commute to work.

Food prices going up and up will hurt them too. The rich will not notice it at all.

I was just answering what I assumed he meant. He is welcome to come back anytime and explain it if he wants. Doesn't matter to me one way or another.

/s

Those are independent people who can make independent decisions. We can’t have that.

Sarcasm off (bud a lot of bureaucrats probably feel that way).

Which includes feeling the need to defend Trump.

Got it .

Here's a suggestion... Change your name to Colorado Whiner. It suits you better.
No, not as you always have done.

Believe it or not, there once was a time when Trump wasn’t part of the national political conversation .

I don't know.

I do know that .00003 times the whole population of the United States is less than 10000 and we've had well over a half million deaths from Covid-19.

Sorry if some of us can do math. People throwing out totally bs stats should be suspended from this forum.

Please explain how mask mandates and lockdowns “saved countless lives” when developing countries in Africa did no such thing and there aren’t “bodies everywhere.”

50% of Americans are not vaccinated because they’re tired of the phony fear liberals were peddling for 18 months.
