When you look at South Africa, it's actually what's called a middle-income country, specifically the upper-middle end of the spectrum. It's the only African nation that is a member of the G20( consisting of mostly 1st world/developed countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, and Japan)
South Africa is the number one country for sexual assaults, that’s not what I call a developed nation.

None of the countries in Africa or the Caribbean have reached their full potential. These are places that would look like Dubai if they were governed and managed properly.

My housekeeper, a white lady from SA fled with her family when one of her family members was murdered by a local sangomas(witch doctor). He forced boiling water down her throat and removed vital organs while she was still alive because that makes them more powerful in his potions. The black police took a long time to solve this murder when everyone knew the offender, and when he was finally arrested, the black judge released him on the equivalent of 100AUD bail. He of course hasn't seen the inside of a courtroom again, and never will.

You are right, it is far from a developed nation.

Some people seem to think that this country has the demographics of South Africa. They're either very bad at math or they're delusional or something, I can't figure it out.

And the USA has the highest incarcerated rate in the world. We have our cycles of civil unrest( literally this year and especially last year), and the social ills that plague our cities are globally known and even mimicked in some other countries across the world, including South Africa( they even have a very violent gang called the Americans). The USA doesn't look like Dubai, Japan, or Norway either. Crime is not really a determining factor in whether a nation is developed or not. If it was, then the USA is not a shining example.

We throw around the terms first world and third world when really it was first coined during the Cold War, referred to industrial capitalist nations aligned with the USA, whereas former Soviet and communist countries were the second world, and the remaining that was on neither side the third world. South Africa and few other African nations were considered to be aligned with the USA, therefore first world. Even by today standards, South Africa is somewhere in the middle between developed and developing, hence the concept of upper-middle income nations. The cities are modern and the culture there seems a lot more Westernized compared to its African peers. Some Afro-Caribbean nations and territories, like Barbados, Bermuda, the Antilles, and Guadelope(racially mixed French territory but large portion of the population is Afro-Caribbean) already can be considered high-income.

Most people want to preserve civilization, not destroy it. That goes for a whole lot of blacks who would rather not live in the ashes of former civilization.
South Africa has been horrible for Black people for a very long time. Apartheid was based on the attitude of "Blacks are inferior" and Blacks were treated as such. What is going on in South Africa isn't helping anyone. At this point, those who are in charge don't care how anyone views them. What matters to them is that they have power.

The Black middle class in South Africa has the most to lose. The Black middle class has grown in the years after Apartheid's end. The poor living in the townships are still living in the townships. Not everyone

Things were going crazy in South Africa during the 1970s and 80s. Alot of Black people were living in the townships, dealing with violence from the police, dealing with violence over all. South Africa's murder rate increased exponentially during the 1970s and 80s, reaching its zenith in the last years of Apartheid. South Africa has been a basket case for decades upon decades. However, at this point, everyone is affected, not just Black people.

South Africa now belongs to all of its citizens, just like it’s supposed to. If it goes to hell in a handbasket, too bad. The white minority government should’ve shared power when they were in a position of strength.
As for Zambia and Zimbabwe, OH WELL!! Same thing. Should’ve shared power before your hands were forced.
When the ethnic cleansing of white people in South Africa is finished it will devolve into third-world status and begin begging us for food. Should our reply be, "OH WELL!!" "Should've shared power"?

There never would have been "shared power". As soon as blacks got the right to vote, SAs first-world status was done. One of the most beautiful places on earth with the natural resources of California will become another $hithole like Haiti or most of Sub-Saharan Africa.

I expect most of the "big five" endangered animals in the National Parks to be killed and eaten soon. Truly a tragedy, and I'm glad we visited when we did.

I was surprised to learn, the largest Indian community outside of India is in South Africa. From what I have read most of the shops in the malls that were looted were owned by Indians.

The end game here is the end of prosperity for all but a select few at the "tippy top". And not just for SA. They tell you getting rid of the American white majority will bring us closer to "equity"...well this is what it looks like.

You will own nothing and you will be happy. Well they got it half right anyway.
