I think the black community and their leaders are the problem. For over a decade they focus more on a tiny small % of blacks being killed by cops which is really small and ignore the black innocent black people being killed by the violence. They add fuel to the fire by glorifying gangster rap music with the violence and lack of respect for women. As long that you have BET and letting Hollywood exploit bad behavior and glorifying it then the killings will continue.
They can remember George Floyd and make him a hero and a statue but they can't remember the name of the last honor black student killed by the violence in Chicago or in many cities.
There are many more of black honor students getting killed by these thugs running the cities and nothing from the people running these cities. They just glorify the violence in music and movies.

Nope, I don't see it that way at all. When a young black man commits a serious crime and ANYONE tries to stop him or make him pay for his crime, it's certainly not "the right" that calls that "anyone" a racist for trying to hold the criminal responsible for that crime. It's the left. And the left are the ones calling for basically doing NOTHING to stop crime in urban black neighborhoods. Let them do as they please because if you call them out... you're a racist. And trying to solve the problem like that is not helping ANYONE. Especially all the honest, innocent blacks living in those neighborhoods. What you guys have got going on in these places is a criminal warlord system that would make Al Capone jealous. All because you believe that stopping a black person from committing a crime is some kind racist attack. It's not. A criminal is a criminal.

No, it means we can talk about how awful black criminals are. Just like white criminals. Awful. It's not a question of race, it's a question of behavior. We call a duck a duck, regardless of it's feather color.
I wonder how much of the homicides in Africa are actually casualties from tribal warfare. The tribal mentality is still strong in Africans and aborigines. It's hard to survive and they kill over territory and limited resources. Some in Africa even eat chimpanzees.

I took it as asking if we can have an actual discussion about why it is that a disproportionate number of people of color choose to engage in awful behavior.
This is not a matter of opinion....it is easily demonstrable with statistics that have been posted here and elsewhere many, many times.
That doesn't mean that the OP is saying all Black people are awful.
It starts in the home. Single parenthood and poverty leave children fighting for resources within their own homes. Stealing often starts from necessity, and only blooms from there. Without learning good study habits, school becomes an afterthought. Without strong parents, rules and respect mean nothing.
So if you have to fight for everything you can get in your own home, never learn to follow rules or respect others, and have zero education, how do you survive?

On the other hand, here is a copy of the bill of sale for Manhattan Island to the colonists by the Native Americans.
This was typical during the early colonization period of North America in the New England area.
It was later that things became dicey with atrocities being committed by both the settlers and the Native Americans.
On the other hand, Spain had no similar policy. They most often simply conquered. By the time the United States (Polk) decided they were going to take the western part of what is now the United States, Mexico had long since taken the land (claimed it, since Spain had already done so before the Mexican Revolution) from Native Americans.
So your all-inclusive accusation really isn't true. It's true in some cases and not in others. Too bad more people can't get that straight. Some of that land was acquired through purchase or treaty, some was outright taken. The portion that was outright taken, was in many cases a Spanish conquistador's actions (as in the western US).
By the way... how do you return land to people who have been dead for five hundred years?
