Presumably, you’re talking inflation. If so, all that cash you’re holding would seem to be a bad idea. I’m much happier having my cash invested.

The poor also has to borrow some money from a person they know.. without cash it will be very hard on the poor. If they borrow money from any credit company it is with a huge interest rate because they look at the risk of the borrower. How they will be able to function in a cashless society will be a huge challenge.
Sure

You do realize those on unemployment also use debit cards issued by the unemployment office?

They can also be robbed carrying cash. Not usually the case with credit or debit cards. They'll be credited back and a new card issued.

True, there are selfish people across the political spectrum who care about their own convenience first and foremost and don't think or care how it affects others. But it is woke companies like Starbucks really pushing for going cashless.

Yes, of course. The "woke" companies. That's the ticket.

The pandemic has an even larger impact on the prices.

I know, I know...... IT IS HAPPENING NOW!!!!!

I've been hearing that since I was a kid. It is a marketing and voting ploy.
tamajane, did you see the link I left for the price of this necessary book/pamphlet/course, whatever, from the bottom of that article? Something like "How to protect your money in this big reset?
They're selling something.

That may prove problematic as more businesses, including Starbucks and Shake Shack, experiment with becoming completely cashless establishments. (Lawmakers working to pass bills that would require retailers to accept cash allege that the growing cashless trend discriminates against low-income customers.)
That's the ticket. ^^^^
