"While there’s not a specific count, it’s clear breakthrough infections are rare. As of July 12, the CDC had tallied 5,492 vaccinated people who were hospitalized or died and also tested positive for coronavirus — out of more than 159 million fully vaccinated Americans. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has said 99.5% of all deaths from COVID-19 are in the unvaccinated."
Maybe we can achieve a level of herd immunity now before the lockdown nannies start coming out in full force and shutting down festivals and sporting events. Given this is likely not going to go away, we're gonna have to learn to live with it. I hear reports they want kids to mask up in the fall, which is silly.
Reports show few vaccinated people are getting any serious symptoms regardless. I doubt the unvaccinated want us to mask up on their behalf, and even if they do, tough.

Once again you are quoting someone "saying" something you agree with. No data. If there is anyone who would benefit from "saying" that it's Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the CDC. No?
A dead giveaway is "while there's not a specific count". If there was actual data, there would be a specific count. Why did no one catch that?

How is that misinformation ? That 99.5% is only for deaths, not hospitalization.
You could have lots of breakthrough cases that are hospitalized but they won't be counted.
They said that if you caught covid it would be mild and you wouldn't need to go to the hospital and you wouldn't die.
I would be careful about the republicans here making statement's like "Biden's Covid Spike" and other related insults because you only will encourage them to bring back masks and distancing. If it's spiking, it's not Biden's fault, and even if it was, what do you want him to do? Put us back in masks? Don't give them any ideas, please.
They don't need anyone giving them any ideas. It is and has been the plan all along. I hope you didn;t throw your masks out.
