Does this same line of thought include the tens of millions (in this country alone) of female unborn children who were never given a chance at life? Asking for a friend.

SCOTUS has already upheld state restrictions on gun rights. That sets the legal precedent that states can restrict rights.

What are your predictions as to what follow this decision?

What life in American would look like post R v W?

New laws, political landscape, etc.?

By the way, I'm not interested in the arguments for or against the decision because that is not going to go anywhere anyway. Let's assume that R v W is overturned next year and let's start from there.

It goes back to the States, as the Founders intended our system of government to work.

Your numbers are incorrect, but it doesn't matter. Pro-choice women are not going to give up their right to abortion. If anything, they will fight to expand it.

Conservatives want this war; they are going to get it.

Our Founders did not intend for the states to be able to mess with people's fundamental rights to liberty.

Women are not free if they are not allowed to control their reproductive destiny.

Illinois might be the only Midwestern state in which abortion would be accessible if RvW is overturned by the Supreme Court.

The Reproductive Health Act was passed in Illinois in 2017, during the administration of a Republican governor. It guarantees that Illinois citizens have the right to make their own decisions regarding pregnancy, including using birth control, childbirth delivery, and abortion. This law also requires that Medicaid cover abortions.

Illinois could very possibly stand as an island among its neighboring states that restrict abortion access and are poised to make further restrictions should the Supreme Court give them that ability.

Hear, hear. It pisses me off seeing old white men making the rules that would interfere with women being able to decide about their own bodies. Can you imagine if women told men how and when to use Viagra?

Then why did you say blue states want to ban all guns? You know that's not true.

Nope. I already posted the recent Harris Poll. Only 6% of American voters are concerned about the abortion issue.
