Not at all. All state legislatures have to do is reference fetal homicide laws in their abortion restriction laws, and state that an unborn child is already legally recognized as a separate human life in their state by the fetal homicide laws, so they're restricting abortion to only a very few cases, the aforementioned 1.7% of abortions that are performed due to risk to mother's life or health, risk to baby's health, rape, or incest.
Why are anti-abortionists so obsessed with what other women do with their bodies? It's really none of their business if a woman chooses to have an abortion. Why do they want to tie women to a bed and force them to give birth? That's a really self righteous, holier than thou way of thinking.
How is it a 'war on women' when it would save over 300,000 females' lives per year?
What about all the aborted daughters, granddaughters, nieces...? What makes you think no one grieves for them? I'm going to say it again because you're clearly NOT getting it... It is NOT malevolent to protect human life. You don't seem to understand that protecting human life is a much higher priority both ethically and morally than allowing anyone to act according to their own convenience when doing so deliberately kills others. Your line of reasoning matches exactly that of the street thugs in Chicago. They think nothing of killing others, too, and set a 25-year record high for doing so last year.
You have already prevented more female births using birth control than any woman not using birth control and having an abortion.
You seem to be confused about how birth control works. It prevents conception. It doesn't abort already conceived humans.
Quote:
You can't atone for that by forcing other women to have more children.
You and the state have no more right to chain a woman to a bed and force her to deliver a child than you have a right to grab some random black person off the street and shackle them to your stove to cook your dinner.
Your sides war on women doesn't just involve their attempt to ban abortion. Virtually everything your side supports or fails to support is a war on women.
Women don't have to have children if they don't want to -- all they have to do is use birth control correctly every single time, or choose to not participate in sex acts that might result in pregnancy.
Killing is only in my head? You're not living in reality. Every year, 680,000 are killed by abortion. Meanwhile, there are only 32,000 gun deaths per year, about 2/3 of which are suicides, so guns are used to kill only 11,000 per year.
680,000 killed by others compared to 11,000. Let that sink in...
Who are the 680,000 killed every year? What are their names? Where do they live? Oh, that's right, they don't have names, and live in the body of a pregnant woman. It's no one's business but the woman whether she chooses to have an abortion.
SCOTUS actually abided by their sworn oath to support and defend the US Constitution by letting the TX law stand. TX implemented the 10th Amendment in their law by NOT criminalizing abortion and leaving the decision to restrict abortion up to the people.
To remind everyone, again, exactly what the 10th Amendment says:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Texas did NOT in any way, shape, or form, "implement" the 10th Amendment. No state "implements" the 10th Amendment. Go talk to an attorney to get more clarification on the topic.
The "people" are not inured when a woman has an abortion, and therefore have no standing to sue. The ridiculous Texas law will likely be overturned on those grounds.

After that fantasy break, it's time to return to reality, where birth control is 90% effective overall. Humans are not perfect. Expecting them to be perfect is ludicrous. And, that's ignoring the fact that it is no one elses business if a woman chooses to have an abortion.

Nobody cares what women do to their bodies. They care that women are indiscriminately killing other human lives, solely for the sake of their own convenience.
And that brings up an interesting point... Why do Black lives matter only when an LEO kills a Black person but Blacks lives DON'T matter when it's other Blacks doing the killing?
The life of the unborn child. The same life that people are prosecuted for, convicted of, and sent to prison for killing.
