In one month, the amount of NYers that tested positive rose 500%!!!! That's not a cause for alarm?!?!
The CDC just revoked the authorization for the PCR test. And the threshold of the test had was set to such an extremely overaggressive manner that the result produced are actually not trustworthy at all.
But you are informed by the TV news, so of course you probably have no knowledge about these sorts of concerns.

Wow, so the news is a lie and the CDC is a lie, as well as our own ny.gov website is a lie. Darn, where must I get my source of info then?
Do you really not know that all of those sources have been pushing out lies around this topic?
Um, no. The news is where people go to get the current facts about what's going on in the world. I doubt they would lie to create mass panic. And I certainly doubt that state governors, doctors, nurses, and health experts would all form together to attest to the lies. It doesn't make sense.

With all due respect, you are not actually a very wise shopper. At least not when it comes to shopping for news and information.
I doubt there are many of us who actually like to wear masks and I'd like to avoid doing another quarantine (which will really hurt the small businesses out there) so I'll wear a mask in the hopes that more people will, too. If you really care(d) about the businesses hurting, you'd wear a mask, too.
or, I’ll patronize those business while not wearing a piece of cloth over my face!
Eh, I had stopped wearing masks indoors when the CDC said it wasn't necessary. I started wearing them again, even when I work out when the numbers started going up recently. My father is in a memory care unit and I need to be able to visit him (which is one of the places that still required masking while visiting, which I am fine with). It's no big deal to me.
My son works at a medical facility and has needed to wear a mask all through Covid during his work day. He doesn't complain.

Because wearing masks did so much the first go around

Well last year (July 2020), new cases weren't climbing at the rate they are climbing now. And last year, we didn't have a vaccine. Right now, we have over 60% of Americans vaccinated, yet we can't seem to get this damn virus under control. So something is wrong somewhere!
