I don't think so. I think his base actually loves the implied criminality, loves that he skates so close to the edge, loves that he does pretty much as he pleases, loves that he blusters his way through the way Roy Cohn taught him.

Instead, it was an investigation that uncovered the alleged abuse of run-of-the-mill perks — like car leases, apartments and school tuition — that transformed Donald J. Trump’s family business from real estate branding empire to criminal defendant...
Mr. Trump has escaped numerous law enforcement inquiries over the better part of three decades, and he could well do so again. Even so, the case brought by Mr. Vance on Thursday has already struck at the heart of Mr. Trump’s public image — the business of the businessman — in a way no other investigation has done.
The fallout could be significant.
Trump's base also doesn't care. They don't care that he is crooked. They don't care that he's a liar. They don't care that he's stupid. They don't care that he expanded the welfare state and presided over a weak economic expansion and steep recession. They don't care that he gave us record debt and deficits. They don't care that he failed in his response to COVID. They don't care that he undermined our constitution and civil liberties. They don't care that he continued foreign policy adventurism. They don't care that he insults everyone and further divides the country.
Let's be honest, some of Trump's most ardent supporters only care about keeping people who don't look like them out of the country, in blue states, or in prison. Morals, honesty, and freedom mean nothing to them.

Word for word, that could have been written about the sitting president as well, with the exception that Biden doesn't necessarily insult everyone... but he may well some time back when he was bit sharper. Otherwise spot on.
