Looking at past viral outbreaks, this has never been the case.
The Spanish flu pandemic burned out after two years, no vaccines.
Past flu & cold pandemics all burned out within one or two years of their origin, and required no vaccines to make that happen.

Where on Earth are these people getting the idea that the virus will get stronger and deadlier over time?
Is there any evidence or past examples to show that this is remotely possible? All past examples I looked at go against this notion; past pandemics never lasted very long and usually faded away in 1-3 years.
The media doesn't need proof. The masses think the media only tells the truth so they believe it all as FACT.

Are you serious?? I'm utterly speechless at the ignorance of this post.

The Spanish flu was so deadly because WW1 created very welcoming condition for spreading the virus. That's why you read that so many of the infected are soldiers. They did a study of the Spanish flu and found that it isn't any more deadlier than our modern flu (and more tame than the Swine flu that was a mutation from the Spanish flu), the war was what caused it to jump in ferocity.

The pandemic only lasted two years because we ended the war and the spread slowed dramatically; and we allowed it to kill everyone who can be killed, eliminating the most vulnerable from the gene pool. As another poster said, it killed 50 million people in a world with only 1.8 billion. If you do the same with Covid, you're looking at 200M death easy in order to "burn it out".

What the scientists said is 100% correct. The Spanish flu did keep on mutating and became deadlier but the condition that made it so widespread in early 20th century is no longer present so the virus couldn't spread out as wide.

Covid is not the same as the Spanish flu. There is no war that we can end to reduce its severity. It can and will keep on mutating if we allow it to.

Am I missing something?

Flu burns out when it rears up because people aren't so dang stupid and stubborn. They know they're sick so they stay home. They also know when YOU are sick, so they avoid you. Neither thing is possible with COVID.

Spanish flu? Really? It killed about 7% of the world's population at the time. You call that burning out? I'd say it ran out of willing victims. If your plan is to wait for COVID to kill 400 million people, then call it "burnt out by itself" - that's a fairly poor plan.
Maybe in the short term, but I think in the longterm it might be the best plan.

Virology and GoF research related to vaccines, might be advancing to the point whereby an individual can create true super viruses - without the benefit of foresight, we might be racing towards oblivion in the name of saving a relatively small amount of lives.

If everyone would get vaccinated COVID-19 would be a memory.

The guy who posted a thread stating that millions are going to die within three years because of the Covid vaccine is complaining about pseudoscience??

Thanks for the laugh.

Again MISINFORMATION!

These vaccines have only been around a short time. It is still to be determined how long the protection will last. Once that is determined it may be on a schedule like the tetanus vaccine.
