At this point, yes. I have yet to see any Trump loyalist condemn the actions of their brethren on January 6th. You guys won't even admit that it was a coup attempt.

in your apoplectic rush to post (note the double "on the capital", and it should be "Capitol"), you seem to be making the assumption this is an ABC TV production.

ABC is but one outlet that is carrying the hearing.

Now, from an NPR article I read about an hour ago, quoting one of the Capitol police, it seems the Republicans would have been better served to participate in what they should have known would be televised. You don't have to attack or belittle the officers, but you can certainly counterpoint some of their own hyperbolic statements.

PS - reading reports of idiots that day using the n-word against the cops is sickening, and I hope all that did that are arrested and also publicly-shamed.

What hot seat for Biden* supporters? No such thing, it isn't allowed so it seems.

Do you think there will be any shred of objectivity here ?

I don't even know why they need this hearing to begin with. They already caught and charged many of the rioters and had their public shaming of Trump..not once but twice.

What more are they looking for ?
Are you even watching it?

The stated scope of this 'inquiry' is to focus on what the Police went through. Fine and good, but how does this find out what went wrong? How does this find out how to prevent something like this in the future?

This is akin to asking how those in the Twin Towers felt as the damn things were collapsing.

The protest was planned in December. Stuart Rhodes also helped plan it. Oddly, Stuart Rhodes is not being charged. A true investigation would want to solve the when it was planned and why nobody 'knew it' and steps to be taken to prevent it in the future, right?

The glaring problem with that, for the Democrats, is that they already 'impeached' a former President for it and to actually investigate it would exonerate and expose that second 'impeachment' for what it really was.

Many of the capital police left , quit their jobs over the fact they asked over and over to have back up there before Jan 6th and no one listened. Pelosi said she didn't like the National Guard there because of how it looked.. yeah.. she had them there with a big fence for months now didn't she.

Trump wanted them there.. Capital police wanted them there. Pelosi didn't.. Why.. it was a planned set up.

The mental gymnastics you went through to get to this point, must have been exhausting.

Don't like what I see or hear, insert conspiracy theory.

Because it wasn't.
They were wrong to walk inside the fencing, and they were wrong to walk into the building, even though they were allowed to do both.
They were wrong to riot.
They were wrong to fight with the cops.
But it wasn't a coup attempt. Pretty silly to want people to admit to something that isn't true.

That is a mostly peaceful protest when leftists attack the White House for several nights straight injuring over 60 secret service members. 1984 Newspeak.

Insurrection is okay when we say it is, sit down, be quiet, and obey.
