NJ is considered to be a high transmission area. Let's see how long it takes Murphy's pen to once again make a mask mandate.

I kind of hope he does. Maybe that is what it will take to get rid of him in November.

It blows my mind that this has become such a hotbed political issue. People are still being hospitalized and dying from this. There was a story on ABC News a few days ago about people who refused to get the vaccine begging to be vaccinated as they were dying in hospitals, only to be told it was too late. I know, it’s fiction being pushed by the socialist media.

If more people wore the masks in the first place, the disaster the US faced wouldn’t have been nearly as horrific as it was. Murphy’s gonna reinstitute mask mandates? Good. That’ll make me even more likely to vote for him.

I, for one, am getting pretty tired of stupid…

+1 zhelder when I can rep you again.

Good. Bring on the masks indoors. CDC should have never taken away the indoor public place mask mandate before the numbers for the Delta variant came out - they did so beforehand. Almost every epidemiological expert has said due to Delta, we should have been wearing masks indoors for weeks now.
Schools will be masked and as someone with children under 12 - taking into account to new positivity rate and the variant which as twice as contagious, AND that schools will be back FT, at full capacity, with no cohorts - the path is clear.
Science says masks for all until more people are vaccinated.

I thought that 70 % vaccination was the magic number? Why is that changing now?

Also, you do realize that CDC also says that children especially young ones have literally no chance of having adverse symptoms to COVID and especially not fatal ones. It blows my mind that you would want to ruin your children's school experience over this.

+1 to all!

As to getting tired of "stupid", there are indications from places like Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Missouri that there will be fewer stupid people in the near future. No, I'm not hoping that this happens, but it appears that--because of their own beliefs in conspiracy theories and other fallacies--many people in those states are experiencing painful deaths that were avoidable.

When are we going to realize that at some point you have to move on with your life? Any disease at its core can be preventable. Look at obesity alcoholism etc. Where do you draw the line with government oversight over "preventable" deaths?

We took all the precautions even when they made no sense. Time to move on with our lives. We only get one life might as well live it to the fullest.

You draw the line where your actions directly affects others, as is the case with COVID, but not necessarily so with obesity or alcoholism.

Pretty sure DUI affects a lot of people who get smashed into when someone is drunk behind the wheel. Maybe you should adjust some of your crusade on helping alcoholics, which by the way was made worst by all of these insane lockdowns.

Really? The CDC site states this? Like, "literally," Einstein? I can't decide if it's more amusing that you actually typed this out or your thinking one, single human being will believe it.

We know of a 4 year old who died.

Let me know when you've worked in a top-10 pediatric research hospital.

"Ruin?" Ah. You meant ruin YOUR delusion. They wore masks all last year at school and for indoor high exertion activities 5 days/wk and weren't bothered in the least. Sounds like you're super out of shape.
