How embarrassing. Defund the police then act surprised that crime doesnt magically go away. No back up plan. No plan for what to replace police with. Yeah, it was a stupid campaign and idiot politicians were shockingly stupid to go along with the madness. Now that crime goes up as expected, they finally start to backtrack on a stupid leftist demand. When you listen to idiot leftists, nothing good comes from it.

Not to worry, the city council has moved on to more important business, such as decriminalizing psychedelic drugs like mushrooms, so about half the city will be too gooned out to notice.

It’s the same story everywhere including San Francisco.

The defunding police crowd thinks by defunding the police, the criminal elements would also start defunding themselves.

LMAO

How on earth is anyone going to hire more cops now after the country took a dump on them last year? The criminal appeasers let people break windows and loot stores, and now they've finally realized that was a mistake. We're going to end up raising taxes to pay for anyone still willing to go to the police academy.

Seattle is basically a lost cause since it’s in the city’s DNA to do stupid liberal that has very little to zero chances of actually working. I was born and raised in Seattle and it’s no longer a Democratic city with common sense, which happened once it became a progressive city, blinded by progressive ways.

I retired from law enforcement, from a department in the Metro Seattle area in February since Seattle’s stupidity has infected most of the whole region.

It’s funny, in a non funny way that the mayor AND the entire city clowncil are shocked that A) cops are hauling @zz as fast as they can, B) violent crime has exploded and C) recruitment for Seattle police is at a all time low.

All I can say is that Progressive Liberal really screwed this one up. Normally, their stupidity of their failed ideals cost the tax payers money, but with this MAJOR screw up, it’s now costing human lives. The REALLY sad thing is that these people will not admit they screwed up… Some are still blaming Trump and White people, but even to the most low information voter, they know it’s BS. But in Seattle, the voters will still continue to vote for these same people and their failed ideals.

Again, in a funny, but in a non funny way, these SAME liberals are now buying handguns and AR-15s at record numbers and that not an exaggeration since their support of defunding the police really worked since cops are leaving, with all their training and street knowledge, in record numbers where there isn’t enough cops to protect the city AND the criminals know this and are taking advantage of this.

Seattle isn’t alone. Every single city that bought into this Defund the Police BS are in serious trouble.

Well, I can say is that for the people living in these and most every liberal city, I truly hope you have the means to protect and defend yourselves now, cuz the policies you/they supported are costing human lives now. All you can do is basically make yourself a harder target for criminals… Hopefully, these criminals will move to an easier target, sparing you the pain or the tragic loss of live(s).

All the people of Seattle, Portland, SF, Minneapolis, and other formerly good Democrat cities, have to do is look at Detroit, Baltimore, DC, Chicago to see what they have to look forward to in the future
