The CDC's job is about diseases. The CDC clearly doesn't understand how society MUST integrate the necessity of a functioning economy to survive. Pandemic recovery and control MUST be strategic and include ALL aspects of society. Gov. DeSantis is doing that and leading the way.

Your obtuseness is over whelming
My obtuseness, LOL. Sorry, it's the obtuseness of your ilk that is going to keep variants of Covid going for the rest of our lives because of your refusal to follow the recommendations of the CDC. We could be DONE with Covid by now and the country back to normal if everyone got vaccinated. THAT would be best for society. But no, the selfishness of people like you that stomp their feet and pretend that everything they don't like is a plot against them by those darn liberals will make sure this thing never goes away.

We cured smallpox and polio with vaccines in this country and we could do it with Covid too if it weren't for YouTube and social media that spreads anti-science BS to those of you dumb enough to swallow it.

I mean I understand it, when your back is against the wall, but I expect better from a potential presidential candidate.
lol. that's nothing.
have you seen how psycho zhoe blows a gasket when questioned?

Default Florida Schools Defy DeSantis--Will Require Masks

School districts in Florida are making the move to defy Gov. DeSantis by implementing mask requirements for school kids.

Late Tuesday night, school board members in Alachua County in north Florida voted to require all students to wear masks during the first two weeks of school. And Wednesday morning, Leon County, which includes Tallahassee, announced it’s seeking a mandatory mask rule for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Both are direct rejections of DeSantis’ executive order prohibiting schools from enacting mask requirements for students.

Good to know there are still some people in Florida with sense. Now will DeSantis follow through and defund entire school districts because he can't get his way?

Florida is the epicenter of the covid problem in America at the moment...whatever it takes to make schools as safe as possible is a good thing.

His way? or perhaps what the parents would want as well?

So DeSantis went all blowhard liberal and made big-government mandates and local entities are not listening. What did he expect? Florida is a conservative leaning state.

Should be a parents decision. DeSantis is recognizing this.

Putting masks on kids will have as much influence on health outcomes as making them stand on their heads an hour a day. It shouldn't require an executive order from on high to keep kids from being forced into performative rituals for the comfort of the grown-ups, but apparently it does.

Two custodians at one of the schools died from the virus in the last few days. One of the board members said, “To me, it’s not being defiant. It’s being reactive to what the situation is.”

As opposed to DeSantis, who is being reactive to what the red hats in his state want.

He said any district that defied him would lose their funding. Anyone here think he'll follow through? I think he's going to be forced to cave to reality.
