He is one of the few out there making any sense at the moment. If he keeps this stuff up he will find himself sitting as the President in the white house. I think people are tired of the fear pushers and everyone has the free choice about masks and getting the jab. I'm glad I lived through so many(many) flu seasons without the nonsense being pushed now.
President Trump made a bad decision listening to whoever told him to shut the country down and destroy the economy.
Not much genius thinking there, but the current administration's thinking. Not any good thinking going on there at all.
So nobody wants the government to legislate.....I bet now it would be next to impossible to get seat belt laws enacted but at one time they were put into effect and people follow them religiously. In today's climates -- would they ever pass? I don't think so.
Anyways-so no state mandate but there can be honest messaging. This virus is kicking butt. We are learning as we go. Things like wearing masks, reducing social interactions, vaccinations, etc.....all should be considered.
If DeSantis is interested in governing the country, he should stop the game with Biden.....and appear to be more concerned about his constituents than fighting some partisan political policy.
That's not happening right now.
Message should be -- these are the facts -- unvaccinated are putting a severe burden on the hospitals. Unfortunately there are more children in the hospital than before. Parents should know this and evaluate this info. when making their mask wearing decision for their kids.
For some kids -- it's nothing...and yes for others it could b e a real problem. So no mandate...but real facts on what is happening so parents aren't making decision based on political posturing and more on what is happening within the state.

Meanwhile DeSantis is still trying to force Cruise Lines to accept un-vaccinated passengers against their will. I just he's just "following the science" there too, huh?
The cruise lines are doing so, accepting unvaccinated people. Balance is the key and that's what Gov. DeSantis is promoting.
There aren't many non vaccinated people using cruise lines these days. Why? the cruise line has many rules and regulations in place regarding covid, that are not conducive for an enjoyable experience.
This too shall pass... it's not the end of the world.

Not true, not at all true. The Biden administration has targeted Florida and Texas regarding covid. The mandates are being promoted by the Biden administration... right? and Gov. DeSantis has responded by tell the Biden administration 'control the border and stop the influx of covid infected illegal immigrants'.
It's all tied together. 900% increase in covid in the Rio Grande sector, with a high number of illegal immigrants coming to Florida.
However red tide has nothing to do with covid...
