Are you nuts? I just told you that I know how cloth masks work and stated the obvious fact that the way they work makes it more difficult for fresh air (and oxygen) to get to the mask-wearer. The ineluctable fact is that either the mask-wearer winds up oxygen-impaired, or he blows the Covid-laden air coming out of his lungs through or around the mask so it can be replaced by fresh air with more oxygen.
I gave up after the first few pages in this thread after getting lost in all the false equivalencies. At some point everyone is going to need to work together and come to a compromise on the Economy and Safety. The "my way or the highway" thinking on both sides of the issue is not going to solve this problem. Best of luck to Florida and it's citizens.

All you can do is choose the region which fits your ideals best. But compromises will be made either way.

My black a** lives in the Austin area. I'm not dead. But I'm not pleased at how things are being handled either.
DeSantis trying to tell businesses/schools/hospitals how to run themselves is what I have a problem with. It should be up to the business, or school. The HEAD OF SCHOOL tells parents what is required of their children to attend, not the parent telling the head of school.
Same for a business. If CEO wants masks, the CEO gets masks. Not the customer telling the CEO no mask.
