Oh, how short some of our memories are these days!
The DOJ decision announced today came in the wake of the SCOTUS ruling in February that said trump had to give them over to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
The last time I checked, the SCOTUS was "a court".
In the interim since that February ruling, the DOJ has been studying it's options in response to that ruling. In other words, they did not rush in and decide immediately as a highly-partisan trump DOJ would have done if the shoe were on the other foot.
It's never gonna happen! And even so, nothing in Trump's tax returns is ever going to block his candidacy or make the 74M who voted for him join YOU. We only care about beating YOU.
That is the real problem. You don't care about the country. You ONLY care about beating the Dems.
I don't care about Trump's tax return, but I am interested in the $$$ Hunter Biden made from foreign governments for doing nothing, but the liberals are burying that. Congress can waste some more of the taxpayer's money with their personal hatred toward Trump.
When do people stop caring about what Trump did or didn't do and look at the current administration's failures? You do know Trump isn't President anymore? And you do know that Trump himself didn't prepare his taxes, professionals did?
If there was a crime why isn't the DOJ themselves investigating. So they are authorizing a fishing expedition by congress not even a law enforcement agency. Or better yet why isn't the IRS investigating-again.

So then, we (the left) are now admitting that the IRS is an incompetent, criminal organization unable to properly monitor tax issues or find tax anomalies. Okay, sure. I can go with that. Have fun embarrassing yourselves for the umpteenth time.
If Trump was a tax cheat the IRS would be after him to prosecute him.
Why do we even care about his taxes?
We should all be demanding Biden's and make sure he claimed all the Hunter "Big Guy" kickbacks.
That's just the point. The IRS IS after Trump to prosecute him. He wouldn't provide full records.
But Biden has provided his tax returns for the last 22 years to the public, fullly available for anyone and everyone to see. Just like every president back for decades with the exception of Trump.

Lekrii didn't promise to release his, Trump did.
I agree with Trump that his tax returns are only his own business, but Trump should have had the courage of those personal convictions and said....before the 2016 election....that he wasn't going to release his returns, and then let the chips fall where they may politically.
Instead, in a timeline of cowardice, he promised to release them and then didn't.
He made his returns the public's business by making the promise that he did,
